Fort Collins, CO
ISU by 6 and it is a nailbiter all the way.

I don't like that Ohio has 3 games under their belt, are experienced and is at home. This will be their marquee game of the year. They haven't played very stiff competition and their QB is good and gets a lot of attention but what I saw of the SDSU game and some highlights of their other games, I think their defense will be the problem and that, as we all know, is not what this offense needs.

In the end we win because the professor pulls out the stops on defense but we shouldn't have to do that in these games. Could come back to bite us on the injury/fatigue front as the season progresses - see last year.

Might be worth it’s own thread, but who are the leaders on this team? I’m not seeing it. I don’t see personalities like Lanning, Lazard, Montgomery, Purdy, Kolar (I realize those are mostly NFL guys) who led the Clones to 5 straight bowl games. I hope guys like Vaughn, Freyler, Tampa, Dean bring some verbal leadership. We need a few guys on each side of the ball who bring some fire. Would help if a couple were linemen.

There are leaders but they are all on defense. Would be nice if someone on offense could break out at least and lay some kind of groundwork for being a leader of the offense.

Young ones or newbies (Higgins) might just need to get a case of the **** Its and take on those roles.
