I told my wife the same thing when it was 35-0 early in the second quarter. If ISU can take care of their own business I think ISU has a shot in this game. I wonder if we see Leonard Johnson all over Blackmon most of the game?
We will see Leonard all over Blackmon when the play is already whistled dead.

Lj will shut blackmon down. Less than 100 yards.

We will be burned by their other all stars. Wally B does a great job at takjng away our opponents #1 option.

Sorry, but I am predicting Blackmon to have 150+ yards receiving and at least 2 TD's. It will take a lot more than just LJ to shut down Blackmon.

Were gonna shut blackmon down. Were gonna shut most of them down. No way ok state strolls in and out of here with an easy win. Too much toughness on this team to roll over. Too good of defense.

After the first 15 yard penalty, Leonard will be benched for the game.

Leonard could get 3 personal foul penalties and he wouldn't get benched. You don't bench your best DB and PR knows that.

Johnson will get in Blackmon's head. I'm calling it now.

More likely the other way. I want to believe, but so many people have gotten in LJ's head that it's almost a tradition at this point.

For curiosity's sake, if LJ got 3 personal foul penalties, would he really be our best DB? Wouldn't he single-handedly be doing more damage to our team than the other team's offense?

Honestly, just to be practical, it seems like CPR would have to sit him down before he cause too much damage, if that hypothetical situation were to develop.

Wow! I thought this was a Cyclone forums? All this bashing of our own players sounds. Don't lower ourselves to those hoks. We all know we have personal foul issues. I just hope we have an opportunity to get those personal fouls somewhere besides the end zone :)

I for one am not bashing LJ but to say that him and him alone will shut down the reigning Biletnikoff Award winner and get in his head in the process is laughable. Nobody has shut Blackmon down for the last two years and I don't think we will either.

The way to stop OSU is to keep their offense off the field. If we can do that, then we have a good chance but if the OSU offense is on the field, expect them to score.

Ok so let's say he gives up a 15 yard penalty and we pull him. Next play we give up a 40 yard pass play. Which hurts us worse? Evidence? Texas game.

What makes Leonard great also makes him a pain in the *** but it is ridiculous that our fan base RIPS on the best DB we have had in a long long time.

And Blackmon, to me, seems like a head case. Kind of a baby. Like most really good WR's I think. I'd like to see Leonard jam him at the line and be physical with him. Now Blackmon is stronger but I think it can mess up the timing and start to bother Blackmon. Hopefully he drops a couple more or fumbles again

I'm not saying to pull him after one. I'm throwing out the hypothetical idea that he gets more than one. Of course, it's hypothetical because he does seem to limit himself to one.

Blackmon as a head case could make a very interesting matchup. That's an interesting idea. I'd like to see it work out that way!

Im telling you right now the best defensive approach we could hope for is a very successful running attack...

From the games i've watched, OSU comes out and lights up the scoreboard and every team they've played has been out of their game plan because of the score and alienate the running game except KSU. KSU played ball control and almost won that game in stillwater....they had the ball 40:49 leaving OSU with the ball for only 19:11 and they still put up 575 yards of offense and 52 points....This is how you beat them. You keep the ball away and play a little better defense. Simple...right????

If im paul rhoads (and im not) im going to imitate the KSU game as much as possible. I'm hoping that our defense is equal to or better then KSU's defense....our points per game are almost identical.....Weeden threw for 502 yards but they only ran for 73 yards!!! Whereas KSU ran for 301 yards on 51 carries....

We need all three phases to play SMART football!!!
We need our defense to play inspired and set a physical tone, especially to their bread and butter crossing routes.
We need our offense to execute, minimize penalties and perform on 3rd down.
Win turnover margin.

Those are my keys to winning....do those and regardless we will either win or have a chance to win.....thats all we can ask!
