No video, but x-rays of a broken jaw........apparently that is not enough evidence for an OU football star.

Because he's talented. And beating people in the South is encouraged probably.

The courts are releasing video of the incident. Sounds like it is reeeaaallll bad.

Big Game Bob and the rest of the Admin may be in hot water after this.

This piece of crap player should have been kicked out of school, let alone the football program last year. This is what happens when a centuries-worth of low morals/cheating/paying athletes to come to OU occurs. This is the culture down south and it's pretty disgusting.

This is the culture down south? That's a little harsh.

I can be convinced that Mixon has fixed this with himself, the woman and the school. Bobby has a history of running off bad actors. I'd like to think there's more to the story than just the incident.

It's harsh, but there is evidence to back it up.

Mixon most definitely got a pass because of his football skill.
Baylor proved they were willing to overlook quite a lot if it meant the Bears could play championship caliber football.
There was support from down south for Adrian Peterson when he beat 3 year old kid with a strap. People saying it was no big deal and that's how kids are disciplined down south.

There are a lot of sins overlooked in the name of football all over the country, and a large concentration is in the south because of their love of the game.

Yes, the same arguments can be made about basketball, but it doesn't seem as prevalent as with football and its concentration in the south.

OU's going to be in a real tough spot. They can't just ignore the video and the response after the video goes public. And if they react by kicking him off the team now or out of school entirely, then the question will be why they waited so long. I don't feel remotely bad for Stoops or Boren. Reap what you sow. They deserve the shitstorm coming their way.
