Iowa State and Kansas State are tied at the top of the Big 12
Kansas is 6-2 and just beat Oklahoma
Colorado has Coach Prime and has the worst record at 4-4
Missouri may have one of their best teams ever and is 7-1
Nebraska is turning things around and are tied at the top in the Big 10 West

Missouri will put up or shut up next week when they face Georgia.

I read somewhere that Iowa State has the toughest schedule in the B12. I know they play all the teams currently in the top half of the standings except West Virginia who is #7. So few "easy" games

Never in my life thought I'd say this, but given their conference competition, Go Big Red.

Remember I think it was 2004 when we needed to beat Missouri to go to the Big 12 championship?

It was 14-17 and we got the ball down inside the 10 and then ran 3 straight times and settled for a short FG to tie…..however we missed the FG.

Go win the game!
On one of those runs Stevie Hicks should’ve had a TD but got tripped up on a shoestring tackle.

Mac was the Karl Rove of conservative football. He was never going to be aggressive in any situation, and it burned him so many times.

And the “real Big 8” (original minus the traitors) have started their revenge tour. This could be the biggest November ever for the real Big 8.

Same and it took me a long time to get over those loses.
04 was disappointing, but it was a young team that had a bit of luck to be in that position. 05 was outright infuriating. They were the best team in the north, and they should’ve won 10+ games but ended 7-6. Mac lost the fan base with the Kansas game.

Yep, thats when Mac lost me, it was over after that. Now I respect what he did for the program and how he still connects with ISU. I run into him at least once a year in Ames and he is great to talk to.

We had first and goal inside the 5 I’m pretty sure. I was at that game in the student section. What a waste.

I can’t tell anymore if I want to return to those days, or I prefer what it’s turned into. Particularly with how things soured and then died with them.

I miss the old rivalries, but think it’s mostly nostalgia.

I've heard a story a few times that the Big 12 was almost the "Big 14" with BYU added for the North and either New Mexico (and yeah, not sure what the idea was there...) or TCU added for the South.
