It doesn't really matter if that is what's going on or not. Every program does that to some degree. There are plenty of reasons to hate KU but this is not one of them.
Obviously it matters to some people or someone wouldn't have been mad that KU was doing it (which they weren't).

Uh, that's not what happened here. KU was not over the scholarship limit.
Azubuike, Vick, Cunliffe, Lightfoot, Lawson, Lawson, Garrett, Moore, DeSousa, Agbachi, Grimes, Dotson, McCormack. That's the scholly limit of 13.

The bag man stopped deliveries to Cunliffe. I'm pickin' up what you're puttin' down tuco.

Yeah, like 2 people in this thread care and one of them is a K-State fan. Hardly think it's worth your time to spend defending the "honor" of KU basketball. Although you spend so much time on a rivals message board your time must not be very valuable.

Or Self fully expected Vick to be gone but then he returned. Self was perfectly FINE with Sam staying at KU. He works his butt off, is in good standing academically and has been a great teammate. Cunliffe just spent a few weeks evaluating the team in summer workouts and realized he was 7th on the perimeter player depth chart and decided to pursue better opportunities. Good for him. He knew coming into Kansas that it would take some recruiting misses and players leaving early for him to get big minutes at KU. He did his part but the roster luck didn't break for him.

Cunliffe I assume though he'd be a starter by his Jr year (self probably did too 2 years ago) but KU has since recruited over him. I do suspect he was likely fine with his role before the Vick commitment and then saw himself get moved down yet another notch, plus it is pretty obvious he wouldn't be a likely starter his Sr. year. Makes since from his perspective to go someplace to get minutes right now instead of sitting. Same situation SDW had with ISU before he went to Oakland which worked out for him.

Since Cunliffe already sat out a year will he have enough credits to graduate this summer and be eligible to play for his next team right away? Could he be the rare two year grad transfer like Talley, if so his decision makes all the more since.

He will sit out a season and have 2 seasons of eligibility remaining.

Breaking News! In a groundbreaking development, a college basketball player is transferring!
Yep. Cunliffe took a shot at trying to play for a big time program and it didnt work out as he hoped. He seems to have enjoyed the opportunity, the coaching and the experience and is moving on to try a different opportunity.

Sports teach you how to deal with life and sometimes the opportunities we pursue in life dont work out as we hoped. Frankly, if you attain 100% of the goals you pursue then you arent setting difficult enough goals for yourself and are probably just listing tasks as goals.

I'm not saying anything you're saying is necessarily wrong, just that you sound like a Bill Self burner account. Which you aren't, since I assume Bill is too busy to be on ISU message boards. Remember, if you drink too much kool-aid, you can go blind.
