I am not sure we were drooling over that kid. Definitely wanted him and he's going to be an amazing player, but we've been talking about Omaha since he was a freshman in high school.
He's one of our highest rated recruits ever. Everyone who was familiar with his ability was drooling.

You sure are splitting hairs here. He’s a high level recruit, Top 40 nationally, and a top target of the staff. He was the player I wanted most in the class as I expect he’ll pay here 3-4 years.

I am not trying to, I am just pointing out that Omaha has been on the radar for years and years. I dont remember hearing about Milan until last year. That is all I am saying.

Maybe because something significant happened with the coaching staff last year? A new staff could maybe target different kids? Maybe location helped? If MM was from Waukee and our staff was recruiting him, he'd have been a household name around here.

The fact that these places get away with charging parents and family members $15 a day to get in is just gross. The private side of youth sports is a filthy filthy business.

#1 reason why I honestly don't like youth basketball. Extorting that money out of the parents is absurd. If you need more cash charge more entry fees for the tourney don't make me pay that money to get my 5 year old in the door. It's absurd. Honestly this might be our last year.

If he doesn't come to ISU, there's still been some good stuff happening for the potential of ISU basketball so hopefully the overreactions are minimal.

I'd guess there will be a few 'leave it to TJ to screw this up' type of posts because CF.

Ok? I am not sure how you are not proving my point here. Omaha has been highly talked about on here since 2019. Milan has been since 2021, thats my only point.

Yeah, asking families to drop well over $100 for a three day event is just wrong. The problem is that nobody even blinks an eye at it...
