Amazing. I wonder if the older kids will go and live with the grandparents that took them to Disney?

And now he has to be careful of Deborah - with her knowing his past (even though she thinks he doesn't know, she might be looking for "signs" or watching him closer).

Are you freakingt kidding me!?!? Bravo. Hands down the best written show I have ever watched. It also happens to be one of the most disturbing as well. I was starting to get the feeling the show was going stale this season. I was absolutely incorrect. I think what makes the show so fresh is that they do not hold their characters untouchable no matter how much they invest in them. Unlike every other show I have ever watched, by season 4 yoiu can recognize a recipe and tend to see what is coming. This one throws me off everytime. About the only other show I can compare it to is HBO's Oz which is interesting because several characters on Oz are in Dexter. I am guessing there is a connection.

No kidding... every seen Tudors? Of course alot of the characters have to go since it is historical fiction, but man they have no qualms about killing any main character in a terrible way (much like Sopranos).

I am so glad Rita is gone, she was driving me crazy and this opens up so many great new ways to take the show. Hopefully we will find out next season that Trinity snuck over and took care of Bautista and his annoying wife as well.

I am still rocked this morning. It's the best show on t.v. and I think ever. Every episode flat out delivers a great twist and you just sit there for 20 minutes afterword stonefaced staring at the t.v. I really can't wait till next season. I feel bad for the writers. There is no way they can top this season.

I'm still not sold on the fact that she might have been (well I won't say it for those who haven't seen it).
The camera lighting made me kind of think that it was a possible hallucination. I could easily see him falling asleep on the couch while packing those bags and imagining that.

God I hope not. That would be such a cop out, it would make me possibly quit watching the show. Nothing more cheesy than ending a season like that only to start off next year, "All a Dream, la-de-da-de-da, all is well now." Way to Dallasish. As one other person mentioned though, it would be interesting to see her as he sees his father. It would be a good way to openly discuss the conflict he is going to have now in his personality. His Father saying this is what he is (will Dexter now teach his sone the code) and Rita saying he doesn't have to be this. This "Darkness" is what got her killed. I have a feeling Dexter is going to consider this another innocent person he killed. He was definitely responsible. It's going to be interesting to see if he can even stick to the code.

I'm not looking more forward to this show than I am Lost. After that finale last night, wow, I just don't see how any other TV show can compare.

I still can't get that image of her in the tub out of my head. I woke up in the middle of the night and couldn't get back to sleep because I was thinking about it.

Is it September yet?

Just think how much fun they can have with the FBI (who took over the Trinity investigation) investigating whether Dexter did the deed or not. Wife in a bathtub full of blood, they have to start taking a closer look at the husband. Especially when husband worked on the investigation of the killer everybody will assume did it.

Couple of questions I have.

During the show they kind of paused for a second when Trinity was in the police station and Botista walked by. Do you think Botista is going to remember seeing Trinity.

What about Trinity's family? Are they going to mention the relationship they had with Dexter? I'm assuming this will just kind of faid away.

Wonder who will guest star as a new killer in the next season? I am sure they will have huge actors lined up to play some sort of role. by the way Rita (Julie Benz) is signed on again to be in the next Rambo movie.

Totally agree. Those two are very annoying. Actually, I find Deb annoying too but doubt they off her anytime soon.

Yeah they kind of jammed the mom thing in during the episode. They could have just saved that for next season but oh well.

I think they included that as a refresher as to his past. They haven't really done much with his childhood this season and if people started with season 4 they wouldn't get the whole Harrison sitting in a pool of blood reference that they were trying to put out at the end.

I don't know if they will go much more into it next season unless they put Deb on his trail thinking he may be the same as his brother. That may be a stretch because her personality tends to give Dexter the benefit of the doubt.

Personally, I think that the two older kids will live with their grandparents and it'll just focus on Dexter and Harrison and how he'll try to keep his son from growing up like him.

I'm a big Dexter fan, but the best written show I have ever seen is The Wire.

Hopefully he gets a hot nanny to help out:smile:

Wow didn't even think of that. With the way that Trinity was leaving the area I wonder if he did finish his cycle. Laguardia jumps off the building and Bautista gets bludgened to death. That would certainly shake up the show with so many new cast members coming in.

That will never happen since Dexter and Deb are married in real life.

Deb grosses me out. She's like a man.

As a side note, if you enjoy Michael Hall, he is also excellent in the old series 6 feet Under. Great show to watch on DVD.
