This is one of the the earliest songs I know, of what we now call "jam music"--and it is smoking. From the album Mozambique, by Eddie Palmieri, released in 1965.
Satisfaction is probably the Rolling Stones' biggest hit. Was number 1 for 4 weeks in the summer of 1965. If not their biggest hit it definitely put them on the map as a major act, especially Stateside.
Seems to me somebody should post the original version of what is believed to be the most recorded song composed in the 20th century. Which happened to be released in 1965 as a single in the US.
