This always reminded me of Eleanor Rigby, theme-wise. And the vocal/instrumentation is quite Beatlesque too.

Outside of The Beatles and Bowie, Prince might be my third biggest musical fandom and I wish he had recorded a full studio version of this song. The demos out there hint at what it would sound like. It definitely fits with his 1999 album.
I'm a huge Josh fan and have seen him several times. It is a crime that he isn't bigger than he is.
1972 and Nashville are beyond amazing records and I'm not even sure if they're my favorites.
