His wife's name is Erica Campbell? Not the one I'm thinking of, I'd guess.

He was touring the tailgate lots before and after the game? We don't want a coach who's not committing all his time to winning the game. Lol

I kinda wish he were older so I can picture his tailgate tour to be similar to the SNL skit where Bill Clinton (Phil Hartman) goes into a restaurant during one of his runs, and uses/eats the food to demonstrate how a pending policy works.

I miss Phil Hartman.

No idea what's going to happen, but rejuvenation through a youthful but experienced coach can't hurt at this point.

Get people to Ames for a game and you will change their attitudes.

I've brought a few Texans to Cyclone games and all were amazed by the pre game tailgates and turnout; ESPECIALLY, when it hit them that the crowds were there to support a 1 to 3 win team. And in that frame of reference it is simply stunning! Go Cyclones!

I get around
You guys — the fans — made a huge impression on then-Toledo coach Matt Campbell when he toured the tailgate lots before and after the Rockets' 37-30 loss to ISU in October 2014. What he saw, felt and heard helped set the stage for his move to Ames. http://cyclonefanatic.com/football/...lgate-tour-and-isu-s-new-coach-matt-campbell/

Matt also mentioned watching the Spirit Walk, where the team walks through the fans from their buses to the football complex before the game:

"As I watched the team do the spirit walk coming in I was blown away; the support, the energy, the fans,â€￾ Campbell said. “Then the game started and every seat was full. The energy, the spirit, the culture that sat around this program was incredible.â€￾

The Spirit Walk is great as the fans, players and coaches all mingle together and escort the players to the football complex.
