I think that too many people are forgetting that half of "Hilton Magic" is playing like crap on the road.

I disagree. The Clones have really only laid an egg on the road 3 times this year, Iowa, TT and OU. They had a bunch of games that they lost at the very end when the other teams desperation shots went in. Yes, they did melt a little at the end of some games, but winning on the road is just not that easy. Besides those 3 game I did not see the clones getting blown out or man handled on the road, something you can't say about a lot of teams. Mostly they have had really, really bad luck.

If we play with the same energy and intensity that we did last night, I don't really see this game being a problem. WVU's offense isn't good enough to keep up with us if we play our style and are hitting shots. Unless they go unconscious from 3 again, I think we can control this game from the opening tip.

The only way we lose is we beat ourselves. They aren't a good team which is why they are where they are. All of you are more concerned about this game than the game in Norman. You shouldve of worried about that game and you should not lose any sleep over this one. WVU is bad, they shoot very poorly, and their coach is a drunk. Easy win. IMO

Don't beat ourselves and the W should take care of itself.

Get on them early and keep this terrible team down.

GO CYCLONES!

Fact of the matter is, they have six conference wins. Those wins are against Texas (2), TCU (2), and Texas Tech (2). That's it.

And WVU is the one conference team that got the advantage of playing both their Tejas games with Kabongo in street clothes so both of those UT wins were against "bad Texas".

I'm prepared for a complete mugfest in Morgantown. Hopefully the officials call it from the beginning so our guys don't start mugging back and then get in trouble when the whistles do start. Huggy can afford to trade whistles with Fred because he has a lot more depth that plays then Fred does, especially in the post.

I'll be worried early if either Ejim or Niang pick up 2 quick ones or 3 in the first half.

It will come at no surprise that we will need a good shooting night to beat these guys on the road. We aren't going to get much in the paint, I suspect, against a more physical team. If we shoot well, that will bring the D out further and open things up. If we can't, it could be a long night.

CyinCo - I think you wrapped it up in a nutshell. We still have the vestiges of a BE team on the court. My Mountaineers' only hope is you all go cold shooting and have to try to work inside....I can hope right?

This. This is undeniable
Beat by top 5 team in overtime that banked in a three with one second left, Beat in overtime by a team that made a 25 ft three with virtually no time left AND lost on a last second shot by a team that would be rated as high as 13th. Yea, they played like crap on the road all season. WOW, do you have a clue?

We played Cincy hard on a neutral court. We played UNLV tough on the road. We've played well at KU, OSU, and Baylor. Not terribly worried.

I hate to say it, but I think there's a pretty good chance we've seen the last win of the year. WVU played tough at Hilton and last I checked the Big 12 and NCAA games are away from Hilton

I bleed Cardinal and Gold, but the performance of this team away from home gives me little confidence any noise will be made going forward.

Don't like it, but that's how it seems to me.

So losing at Kansas because of a miracle bank shot, losing at texas because of a buzzer beater 3, and losing at ok state because of a referee hose job means we are bad on the road. Oh and we played Kstate close most the game on the road as well. sure we are just a god awful road team?

Seems like you are the next Jerry Palm, and don't realize we play decent on the road minus a tech game we didnt show up for because its tech, and an oklahoma senior night game which everyone with a brain knew we were losing after heartbreak city against kansas at home.

We had WVU put away until they went on a crazy desperation 3 pt barrage. That was just crazy how they hit them the last 3 mins to bring the game within 2.

Nervous for this one, I don't want to see our name on that last four in line for the rest of the year.

I sure wish you were supporting your point with details of actual wins and not close losses that are either moral victories or hose jobs.

I hope they march to the national championship and all of that bad luck on the road comes to our favor in March

We need to come out strong and not let them get any confidence. Book needs to play great again, they have that big guy with the beard. He looked good at Oklahoma, drew a lot of fouls.

And as much as I love this site and CW, STOP reporting on "team meetings". They work because they are alone and hash things out. When you ask them about it, and they talk about it, the magic is lost. It is like saying "I figured out how to make every 4 foot putt". Then, the next time you have a 4 foot putt, you think about your claim that you have it all figured out, and miss. Leave them alone! (If I knew how to put that sarcasm icon on here I would).

all my point was is that ISU is perfectly capable of beating teams on the road, its not like we are going around playing games where we never had any shot to win.
