I thought that was the best game that Railey played this year with some blocks, rebounds and points when he was needed because of foul trouble. I also thought he did the best job all night defending O'rear.

This is true. Railey will be a very serviceable big guy by the time he's done here. Perrault was way, way wrong on this one.

Agreed, he looked pretty good tonight. JVB, Scotty, Godfrey, (second half)DG, (first half)Jake Anderson, and (first half) Melvin Ejim didn't look so good.

Another positive to take from the loss, we played as poor as we've played all year against a team that couldn't seem to miss one if they tried in the second half.....and we found a way to hang in and make it a game. Very encouraging, if a few more of our shots fall it's a totally different game.

This.
Completely agree with you here. If we would of knocked down a couple of those 3's we win, hands down. Of course.. it is kind of a "what if" so if my aunt were a man, she'd be my uncle. But on most nights we hit those shots and we get a W.
Still optimistic on where the team is heading.

agreed... He had some nice weak side help on a few of those plays that ended up with him getting a block and turning into a fast break. I'd like to see him take it up strong though (and this will come with time and a good PB & J diet) there was one play where he got the ball under the basket w/ no one between him and the basket and he got hacked from behind and missed an easy layup. Had he went up strong and slammed it home he would've had a shot at a 3 pt play. Instead I think he missed one of his FT's. Overall though I thought it was a decent game for him.

I was driving home and had to listen to the game on the radio, but I also thought it sounded like Railey was having a fine game. What did he finish with 1 foul and 2 blocks? It seemed like Godfrey and JVB couldn't be on the floor for more than 2 possessions without getting a foul last night.

I was a bit worried about Railey after he looked completely lost during the Kennesaw St. game, but this has me feeling a lot better.

Railey finally played ok basketball, I'm not convinced on his skills quite yet. UNI has no real presence down low and Railey will be exploited if he plays in the Big 12. Hopefully he develops but hes got a long ways to go.

We need help off the bench so Railey needs to fill a roll and soon.

Also, why didn't Phillips make the trip - could have used him.
