True Champion by conference games: Ohio State, Florida State, Oregon, Alabama.
True Champ by co champ (1/2): TCU and Baylor.

Guess who gets in? Need to play another scrimmage game tomorrow night to show the committee: Baylor vs TCU.

Well, looks like Bowlsby has screwed it up. No conference championship game may be the death knell for B12. Two more teams are needed.

Bet the good ole boys in Dallas wish they didn't screw us out of all those games now. Guarantee from now on future Big XII schedules will have us closing with Kansas.

A true season
we play everyone
one path to greatness (my personal choice)
one path, no excuses
competition perfected
a true champion
true rivalry

just brainstorming some better marketing messages less likely to backfire, I've been part of decisions like that, seem some good ones rejected for crap.

Looks like tOSU might be pushing into the top 4 and if FSU wins, no Big 12 teams will make it...

Ditching computer 1/3 is the worst thing ever for b12 and best thing ever for b10. OSU is barely top ten in comp avg. they hardly played anyone and lost to Vtech.

I don't understand why everyone is so worked up about this. Baylor will be the champion if they win tonight (not a sure thing). TCU will be the playoff team because they have better wins. The fact that we have no championship game is actually helping the Big 12 this year.

No its not. Ohio State will get in.. More fans, More TVs, More $$$

If FSU wins tonight, which I don't think they do, then it will be..

Oregon
Bama
FSU
Ohio State

FSU loses and its.

Oregon
Bama
TCU (I think should be Baylor)
Ohio State

So, how does a conference where everybody plays each other and has the motto of "One True Champion" have two conference champs?!?!?

Also, how does TCU make the final 4 and not Baylor when they lost to Baylor?!?!?

Doesnt make sense to me....

Caveat: with a Baylor win tonight.
Also, if this is already a topic, please merge.

Not to worry. B12 doesn't get anyone in the final 4. Ohio State blowout of Wisconsin and FSU winning their fame means they will join Oregon and Alabama.

I don't think anything will change in the top 6. If OSU maes it in then FSU should be out. Wisc is an avg team, beating them by 50 isn't much better tan beating us by 50. After all they beat Iowa by 2 in kinnick and we beat them by three.

FSU out?
They are the defending national champions, have won 28 straight games, are the ACC Champs and are the only undefeated team in all of the power 5 conferences.

Yea, they should be left out...

The committee really backed themselves into a corner by jumping TCU over FSU in the last rankings. They didn't need to do that. If TCU was 4 and Ohio st 5, you could basically say they were tied, but Ohio St finished with a better win. Now TCU will ***** because they probably think OSU should replace FSU, but there is no scenario that doesn't include FSU.

One thing would fix all this... Don't have a weekly ranking from the committee!!

The basketball committee doesn't have any prior rankings. I know why they do it, $$$, but just seems pointless.

TCU beat a 2-10 team the same as tOSU beat a 10-2 team and are not the "Conference Champs", that's why they fall 2 places.

In that case total points scored and total points conceded all season should be considered if point margins for today's games are being looked at so seriously.

to think the NCAA is considering doing this for basketball after watching how "successful" it was for football is very laughable
