I only saw four of them. My list goes:

1. Mad Max
2. Bridge of Spies
3. The Martian

(Although not up for Oscars but still better than Spotlight): Fantastic Four and Fifty shades of Grey

My ranked would be:

1-Brooklyn (and I am by no means a period romance movie fan at all. Just a really great movie)
2-The Big Short
3-Mad Max: Fury Road
4-The Martian
5-Room
6-The Revenant
7-Spotlight
8-Bridge of Spies

Man, I have to find some time to start renting these movies. I've only seen Martian and Mad Max. Spotlight and Room will be my next two choices I imagine, followed by Big Short. Probably won't watch Brooklyn or Bridge of Spies, and it'll be a while until Revenant is available.

Say what you want about Mad Max, but that is an unforgettable movie. Not really my type of movie, but something like that has never been done before and I have to give props for that. Extremely entertaining, and very strange.

Martian was good not great. I wanted to love it, and for the first 45 minutes or so I did. But it didn't quite hold up for me toward the end. I liked it, nothing more, nothing less.
