A lesson to all players. If the NCAA tries to ask you questions, don't answer. It has worked for Reggie Bush. I wonder if he sticks in school and try to get back or if he'll just say forget it and work out 100% with Deon.

Overkill!

Suspending a kid for the remainder of the season for working out with a former NFL player and not disclosing it seems very harsh.

Out for the season because you lied seems harsh to me. There has to be something more to this.

I agree. Makes me wonder if they don't suspect that Dion was opening the door for his agent to hook up with Dez. It also makes me wonder how the NCAA tracks crap like this?

going to Deion's house = not a violation
working out with Deion = not a violation

Aparantly OSU set that up for him too. When asked about it and other things he panicked ans said he never even went over there, thinking it was a violation when it wasn't. When he found out it was legal he copped to it.

The NCAA might just be mad about just losing a big case to that Okie State pitcher.

Lying is different than not disclosing. I don't think it is harsh. But then again, I can't stand liars so I'm probably not a good judge for this.

Sanders said he was asked two years ago to mentor Bryant because of his difficult past; his mother served time in prison on a drug-sale conviction. Sanders said that before he started mentoring Bryant, he called an Oklahoma State assistant for approval.
“When Dez is late to class, the coach calls me,â€￾ Sanders said. “When Dez doesn’t show up for this, the coach calls me.

The whole Oklahoma State program must be completely out of control. I mean, letting a guy hang out with Prime Time? Thats going way too far.

Yeah. Lucca and everyone in his fiasco told the entire truth to the NCAA and he still ended up getting *****slapped out of a year of eligibility. Both situations are ridiculous on some level.....but I don't believe for a minute that Dez will be out all season long. This is probably more of a "you're suspended until we complete our investigation" type of thing.
