How the hell did that take till post #6??I'm now extended!![]()
Now if Iowa would give Fran a lifetime extension, it would be a perfect day.
TJ knows he's never going to the $$ here that he might get at other schools. He also knows he might not be as successful every either (he belongs in the upper midwest). He also knows he probably has a longer leash here than he would other places and the A.D. is one of his best friends.Awesome! Well deserved but still feel like we're getting a pretty friendly deal here compared to a lot of other coaches. I know him and Pollard are on the same page though so not too worried about that. TJ obviously loves it here.
That would be the icing on the cake. Guarantee BF to succeed his dad, too.Combo deal with Barta. Love to see it.
That kind of cash goes a long way in Ames, too.TJ knows he's never going to the $$ here that he might get at other schools. He also knows he probably has a longer leash here than he would other places and the A.D. is one of his best friends.
And honestly, what can't you do in Ames with $3.5M per year that you can do with $5M....TJ knows he's never going to the $$ here that he might get at other schools. He also knows he might not be as successful every either (he belongs in the upper midwest). He also knows he probably has a longer leash here than he would other places and the A.D. is one of his best friends.
Oh one hundred percent. He's giving up a little money for the perfect fit and a longer leash. He's banking on being here for the long haul. Why go somewhere and make 6 million for 3-4 years when he wants to be here and can make 3-4 million for the next two decades (hopefully)TJ knows he's never going to the $$ here that he might get at other schools. He also knows he might not be as successful every either (he belongs in the upper midwest). TJ wants ISU successful, not just to be paid.I don't love the tiered salary approach though. Just pay the dude!
