This may have been discussed and I missed it:
There's a lot of talk about how OU is firing on all cylinders and has improved since our first meeting. I'm not arguing that, but, let's talk about how much our beloved Cyclones have also improved.
I'll start: Xavier Hutchinson has stepped up!
I agree that both teams have improved dramatically, especially at the QB position. Ever since Brock's 3 int. first half, he has made great strides in his execution and decision-making. He's running the ball much more and going down when he needs to. His completion percentages are amazing!! Only 3 incompletions against what was thought to be a very good WVU defense!?
As usual, we're not giving the ball up much, while getting a decent share of TO's. I would put our LB crew up against anybody in the country, and that is mainly because the D-line is deep and playing at a level that's maybe as good as I've ever seen, and I've seen many, (almost 60 yrs. worth)!! We've had teams with better individuals on defense, but never with the depth and consistency of this year.
At the start of 2020, I thought out offense had a chance to be A+, but the WRs didn't develop and/or contribute as much as I'd hoped. That position too, has improved by leaps and bounds over the last month. Having #1 back doesn't hurt either. We have superior the talent at TE every time we take the field. BHall is possibly the best we've ever had. 'Bama may have the numbers, but as far as starters, (and maybe even two-deeps), I'll put our offense up against anybody's in the country!
Bottom line, as usual, OU has higher ranked recruits, and MAYBE more depth, but we have the best damn coach and the hardest working damn players in the galaxy!!!!!!
I never doubted this day would come, I just wondered if it would be in my lifetime!!!
If we play our game, I do truly believe we will win!!!!!!!!!
