Terrible news for Baylor. You never want to see a kid that talented have a season ending injury.

...And though I hate to say it, it definitely increases our chances for a win, but Baylor is still a decent team and has some good ball players.

I don't think a single person knows the answer to that. Even Baylor fans.

Actually, the back up is a senior Blake Szymanski. He holds the single season passing record at Baylor (started as a sophomore). But he's not even close to Griffin's potential. We'll see what happens.

Oh man... he's still around? Didn't he break that record in like 2005? That guy has a great arm actually. I think I remember him having like 24-25 TD passes that year.

Szymanski got hurt yesterday too, so we're actually down to our 3rd string QB, Nick Florence (freshman, gray shirted last year). He was ranked 22 in nation coming out of high school, but we really don't know much about him.

They have a couple of VERY good RBs. This changes the game drastically, but they will still be tough.

Really sucks for RGIII. That guy could make plays.

Most of us are confident he can manage the game, and he is also a dual threat QB. But he's not exactly a game changer with his legs. He is quick though. I'm just hoping his decision making ability is better. He 25 or so TD's I believe, but threw quite a few interceptions as a sophomore. I guess we'll see how good our coaching really is this year.

He's mobile....Blaine Gabbert reminds me of him when scrambling, but in no way is he as good as Gabbert (at least when he was a sophomore).

Wow. Wow.

This sucks for them and Griffin. I really liked that kid and outside of playing us, would like to see Baylor do well.

That said, this game is now one we have a better shot in. I still think Baylor has some other strong talent, but the team was much about Griffin. This would be the equivalent to us losing ARob.

He is day to day. So is Finley.

Anyone chalking this up for a win is crazy. There is no conference game I would chalk up for a win. Not even an injured Baylor team.

Let's win games 4 and 5 before we're talking about our sixth win.

This increases our chances of beating Baylor, but I would not pencil anything in for a win.

ISU just needs to Keep Improving and lets see how many wins we can. We really need to beat Kansas State.

Why is it that we know the injury status of Baylor's Griffin and Baker but we don't have any information on Parker?

I am stunned -- as I said I was at the game and this had to have happened on the 3rd play of Baylor's first drive.

Briles put put him right back in. I told my buddy right after it happened that you could see this game was going to be a mismatch and I did not understand why he put him back in. Briles was calling timeouts with 43 seconds left in the first half and hadGriffin throwing bombs . This is karma that is all.

Well there is our sixth win.

How long have you been an ISU fan?

ISU could lose AA and ARob by the Baylor game for all anybody knows. Even healthy ISU doesn't count wins before they happen. The last time was probably before the UCONN kickoff.

That's too bad to see.

Symanski is a more than capable backup. If we were physically and athletically outmatched last year, like some say around here, Baylor will still be a very tough opponent.

This weekend is huge. Lets build some momo going into the thick of Big 12 play.
