How long have you been an ISU fan?

ISU could lose AA and ARob by the Baylor game for all anybody knows. Even healthy ISU doesn't count wins before they happen. The last time was probably before the UCONN kickoff.

okay, I've learned my lesson, I'll be good now:jimlad:

I remember a backup by the name of Chase Daniels ultimately preventing an outright Big 12 North title.

Your opinion is as valid as anybody else's. If we don't beat KSU the Baylor game will be lucky to be part of a 5 win season.

No one is penciling Baylor or KSU or Colorado in as wins. The point was that having Griffin out has changed that into a must win to get to a bowl game. I wasn't saying that we would win, but it's a must win.

Wow. Don't be chalking this up as the sixth win quite yet, fellow Cyclone fans. Remember Chase Daniel in 2005? And whoever the backup at KU was in 2005?
I remember this all too well. We knock Brad Smith out of the game (after he was ineffective) and in comes this young, no name short guy and he completely rips the ISU defense to shreds...It was a long drive home from Columbia and Lawrence by myself that year...

I am stunned that he had the knee wrapped and went back into the game. For any of you that have torn an ACL, you know what I'm talking about. I couldn't even jump straight up, let alone making the cuts that guy makes. Incredible.

Didn't Oregon do this with their QB (Stewart?) a couple years ago. I remember seeing him make a cut after he hurt the knee and it was sick watching his flimsy knee.

Baylor game is a long ways away and we shouldn't in no way be chalking this up to a victory. It does appear to give us a better chance at winning but we still have a long ways to go ourselves. Our next game against K-state will gives us more information on where we are.

Baylor's next game is against Kent State so we can also see how they do against a familiar foe we had a good win against.

too bad for griffin.hope he heals quickly so we can see him in the spring track season. no doubt that he will be back next fall for the football season.briles is a very formidable recruiter and has strengened the baylor team on the offensive and defensive lines.his job of of recruiting is easier because he only has to travel in an 80 miles radius to find decent recruits.cpr has to travel tp texas, florida and california to find good recruits.i doubt if briles spends half the money that rhoads has to spend for recruiting.

Wow, he was misdiagnosed and then he played. I can only assume he will wait until the end of the school year, go back home, and then have his brother call the head coach and tell him he is transferring to some school out East.

This probably gives ISU a better shot against Baylor. As I have said several times before, Baylor is a lot better, but they are still Baylor, and this was a game that I thought ISU had a decent shot to win even with Griffiin.

oh the stars are aligning...

I wish people would stop saying things like this. Everytime you do I become more and more convinced that something terrible is going to happen to our team. I see reasons for optimism about the rest of the season, but there's a reason "luck" and "ISU" don't belong in the same sentence.
