You could at least throw some initials out or something. I think of Eik goes then good riddance. He isn't all that good anyways and people on this board hyped him up way too much. If he's gone after year 1, then I wouldn't want him to be a Cyclone anyways.

If it's Boozer then it's too bad, but I understand. He ain't going pro and I can totally understand a guy wanting to play for 2 years with more significant minutes.

Ah, yes. I was wondering when the first "Player X sucked anyway. Good Ridance" post would happen. Classic.

It's Eik or Booze and we won't miss either of them. Playing time would be extremely hard to come by for both next year.
This I agree with. Wouldn't have minded a redshirt on Eikmeier but if he wants to play he probably needs to go elsewhere, as does Boozer.

What the heck is wrong with my generation of basketball players? Football players come in and don't whine they have to redshirt and they stick it out, but basketball players feel they are entitled to playing time right away?

So KG, if some else leaves do we go after someone else for this class? Darius Smith? Jordan?

I agree.

Since we have Buckley with Chris Colvin coming in, maybe a certain PG with no outside shot and limited finishing ability sees the writing on the wall. I doubt that's the case but it wouldn't upset me in the least....

I've been saying he sucks all year. It's been a running joke with my buddies all season.

He can shoot, but he's a 1 dimensional player and just isn't that good when he doesn't have the ball.

Also, I just think that leaving after your freshman year shows a lack of commitment to the program anyways. If you're here 2 years and coach is basically saying you aren't going to play much, then you spend your last 2 years playing at a mid major or something, which is why I'm not knocking Boozer at all.

With Eik, it's expected you won't play a ton and you won't be that good your first year. He has 3 years to develop and if he were to leave, he'd just be walking away from all of that. I don't want guys on the team that aren't committed to the program and if you're thinking about leaving after year 1, then you aren't committed.

Eik, Brackins, Lucca, Boozer, Lee, JVB, Pomlee in this thread and counting.

Should we just list the entire roster and call it good?

So people don't want the board to meltdown but when they say stuff like "Good Riddance" they are made fun off. Which is it? Since it is a message board and everything is take to extremes either people are going to wish the kid was staying and go into meltdown mode or think he sucked and say good riddance. Which one do you want? I personnally prefer the "good riddance" over "WE SUCK AGAIN" (or again=still for ISU)

Greg McDermott has accepted an offer to replace Billy Gillispie as head coach at Kentucky. UK athletics director Mitch Barnhart was quoted as saying, "The Wildcat family is thrilled to beat our SEC rival Aurburn to the punch on this major step in the futurue of our athletic programs. Honestly, we have no idea what the hell they see in these Iowa State coaches, but we refuse to let any SEC team beat us at anything, however ridiculous." Look for an official statement from JP confirming his shock later in the day.

I think you forgot to add Garrett to you list per iccyfan's quote

Where are all of those people wondering about where scholarships are going to come from for the players that we are recruiting?

One to two players leaving a program per year (especially with the high number of new players we had last season) should not be considered a problem as long as they are not front line players.

Ahhhh, but what if we announce another player committing that is an upgrade over the player that is leaving.

There is bad turnover (WJ who left without the coaches knowing it and then the coaching staff struggling to find a comparable replacement) and there is good turnover where the player/coaches realizes ISU is not the best fit for them and they have a back up plan secured.

I was just hoping we could be a bit classier about kids leaving. Is there really anything accomplished by totally trashing them as they walk out the door?

SERIOUSLY? Do others not see the potential of DG? There are a lot of great college point guards that aren't great shooters. DG keeps getting better at penetrating, keeps improving his midrange game, does well with assists, and keeps getting better with not turning the ball over. He was a sophomore this year and was 3rd in the Big 12 in assists...tied w/ Sherron Collins.
