I really do not think Eik is leaving. McDermott likes this kid's game too much to let him go and I'm sure he has told him that. Wes had nothing to be unhappy about this year, his lack of playing time was because of injury. If he puts on 15lbs before next season, he could have a good year for us.

Boozer is honestly the only one I would think wants to go. It's hard to blame him with the amount of minutes he got. I really thought he was deserving of a few more, especially when Lucca was struggling.

A big surprise would be Lucca leaving. I hope he stays and toughs-it-out. He needs to learn the American game more, and get quicker. If he does that, he will help this team out a lot.

How many more moves are we expecting?

And what exactly is the problem with all of this crap. I really like McDermott. I really like the players. I am really annoyed that players are either getting booted or bailing. Both are huge problems.

If McDermott is having trouble connecting with these kids or if he is too hard on them then he probably needs to make some changes.

:rolleyes5cz:

Was this person likely to play next year, if ever? Weren't some complaining earlier in the year that we needed scholarships open? Weren't some complaining that we needed to replace some players that weren't Big XII-caliber talent with those that are?

Why are we complaining about this transfer again?

I don't mind speculating or whatever about who is leaving but I know for a fact that 95% of the football/basketball players read this site regularly. I'm sure they are just thrilled to see how much the fans are behind them after a poor season. Wait until cyclones.com releases something about a player leaving but don't get bent out of shape and put down every student athlete we have.

Did I ever say anything personal about KG? All I said is that he's wrong a lot with his info. I never said anything personal about him...

What has he been wrong about? I'd be willing to bet a lot of money that at least one player transfers. That's all he said. You've been pissing and moaning about that for 14 pages.

Does anybody actually read your blog?

Can you share your survey results? What is the breakdown by sport? By class year? Do these results carry to other sports? Can we talk bad about the cross country team?:skeptical:

It may have more to do with players not being a fit for the Big 12 and want to play instead of sitting the bench for 4 years. You then have to ask the question why were some of these players signed. With the new asst and upcoming classes it seems Mac is starting to understanding what type of player it is going to take to win at the Big 12 level. When you bring in big classes every year you are going to have your misses as well. You just hope you get it right more than you dont.

I see it more a problem of McD recruiting better players. Then the current player has a choice of moving on or riding the bench for the rest of their college career. I personally don't want McD to quit recruiting better players and I can't blame a player for not wanting to sit on the bench. Bottom line, while the departures seem to take on a negative bent, I'm convinced it's just part of college basketball today.

I am sorry but a message board is for saying opinions. I have over 80k in student loans and these guys get to go to school for free. I am going to say whatever I want about them because they are all damn lucky to be where they are. If they can't take criticism, then that is their own problem.

I didn't say he was going to be wrong about this. I actually don't blame him that much. I put it more on the people that put their 100% faith in what he says but I'm past it and it's their own problem.

Sounds like you're pissing and moaning now, so welcome to the club!

Yeah Seriously. It's the Big 12. The other team is going to throw up 35+ on you anyways so why get heavily invested in S, LB, and D-Line. Those spots will only get better as we develop guys.

Okay. That's just ignorant and based on a hatred for another team, not from reason.

Please provide justification for wanting to keep ISU's LBers, safeties, and D-line over Iowa's.

No, but you took the time to quote him for your signature, so it must have struck a chord with you.

Yeah, but I only pissed and moaned in one post (well, two now). You've been posting non-stop for 16 pages about absolutely nothing. Nice work.

I'm not going to read the entire thread and I'm guessing it is already way off-topic, but I would be disappointed if Eik left. I think he has a chance to be a solid contributor, maybe not next season, but as an upperclassmen.

Actually, for skipping over the entire thread, you're really not that far off topic...

I agree with your sentiment. The departure of any player (WE or otherwise) will be made easier to deal with if we get what appears to be an upgrade in return.

I didn't quote a pm, or something private. If you post something in the public, you gotta be able to deal with it. If people are upset with what they post, maybe they should think twice before clicking "reply" because I know I do.

I also will say that when I am wrong, I always admit my mistake, apologize, and move on. We're all humans and we all make mistakes. Some on here try to be gods though....

The justification is that we were talking about "trading" guys. Who on our team could we trade for their defensive players? Probably our offensive players if anybody. I don't want to trade our offensive players because we need to build a good offense to compete in this league.
