How nice is it to see us getting some points on out of bounds plays? There is nothing that frustrates me more than seeing a team chuck it back to half court and than set up their offense. We are running plays, executing, and scoring from under the hoop. I love it!!

I posted this in another thread but seems to fit this one as well. Didn't Scotty miss on a shot from an out of bounds lob pass? If so, how is he 11 for 11 on the night. Negative nancy, maybe. But I think the stat is wrong.

No he made it and it was ridiculous. Scotty had one of those nights where even the circus shots go in.

Yeah it was a tough shot. You usually see that lob pass to a taller guy but it worked for Scotty.

I'm just really happy with how this team is being coached. We are scoring out of timeouts and we are scoring from out of bounds. 2 things that we struggled with in the past. That is good coaching

I know it was mentioned on the broadcast last night...

However, I recognized at least 2 'Orr' era - out of bounds plays.

1. The lob to Scott C (the old Justis Thigpen play).

2. The other is a screen the screener we used to run with Fred and Loren.

I remember #1 winning us a game at Minnesota against the Gophers.

Fred has definitely brought back some nice OOB plays. When do you think we'll see the Fred back-cut for a dunk by Ejim?

We saw it last night. We got it to the top of the key, Ejim faked coming up to the ball, back cut, DG hit him and he flushed it down

Must have been paying too much attention to my beer last night.

Call me old-fashioned, but I miss McD's OOB plays. Specifically the one where everyone in the building knew CB was the target, he was triple-teamed, and the in-bounder had to call time out at like 4.8 seconds.

Then after the timeout, we threw the ball the length of the court.

Good times.

McDermott is much maligned here but he did run successful OOB plays quite often.
