I watch the tv show Drinking Made Easy on HDnet. There where lots of strange rules for the bars and stuff on the one they filmed in Utah. I believe overpours on drinks and stuff is a strict no-no.

Yep. My personal favorite is when there's a glass wall between you and the bartender, and someone has to physically walk between you and behind the bar to serve you.

Why would their priorities affect us? I think it would be good for them to come in the conference. They have a huge fan base and are decent at athletics. Only thing that would suck is them traveling to WVU and vice versa.

Ames is almost directly the half-way point between WVU and BYU. Maybe they could just play all their games at Hilton & JTS provide ISU is away that day. :)

MeetWays - Halfway point between Provo UT 84602 USA and Morgantown WV 26506 USA - Find a point of interest between two addresses

One of the biggest ironies in current American culture, is that the people who are most terrified and threatened by Sharia law as if it's coming to get us in the USA...are also the most excited about imposing their own version of Sharia law on America as soon as possible.

BYU makes no sense without a western partner in the Big12 like Boise State.

Screw reality, I still want the Big12 to go after FSU, Clemson, Miami & VaTech.

If their priorities don't affect us, that's fine. I was thinking of their requirement to not compete on Sundays and the possible scheduling headaches that can cause.

Why would that priority affect us? When was the last time football and men's basketball played on a Sunday? And who cares if women's basketball or the other sports are forced to play on a Saturday or Monday when they have to play against BYU? Not that I'm saying I want BYU in the conference, I'm just putting that out there.

While adding those 4 would really solidify the conference it would make it even more difficult to compete - so I have very mixed feelings about this - don't know that I want to be the Vandy of the Big 12.

So you're thinking if you had to make the choice of living in Iran or Utah... you'd have a tough time deciding. I'll give you a hint; the skiing is better in Utah.

Want to know the irony? If you want to go to mosque in Salt Lake City you have a Constitutional right to do so, even if people decide to practice their Constitutional right to disagree with your choice.

Try practicing your "Constitutional right" to go to temple in Tehran. Or even practicing your "Constitutional right" to disagree with going to mosque there.

Of course I wouldn't have a tough time deciding, but having a problem with that woman's outfit is 100x more Iran-like than American, at least in my opinion of what freedom means.

Why on Earth do some people want us to move in Iran's direction so badly? Of course they don't even realize they're endorsing Iran-like ideas because of a different label on a similar thing.

Read again, and slooooooooooow down this time so you can let it sink in.

I said things that make America MORE LIKE IRAN. Having a problem with this girl's outfit most certainly is more like Iran and I don't want America to be like Iran.

I did not say Iran was a good place or that Utah and Iran are the same, the Iranian government is absolutely horrible...which is why I cringe when Americans like this basically say "YEAH LET'S BE MORE LIKE IRAN!".

How right you are! We have at least one candidate who evidently thinks he is running for Pope.

If you have a problem with Mormon Church policy, then that has absolutely NOTHING to do with Iran, as what they believe and what they want to "enforce" as Mormon church rule is protected by the First Amendment of the Constitution (as is your right to criticize their beliefs).

Until the Mormon church wants the Federal government to change the Constitution to make it reflect their beliefs, I don't have a problem with the church "enforcing" some silly dress code as a scope of their religion, no matter how silly I think it is. But THAT is the difference between "Mormon law" (which is "church-specific") and Sharia law, which would love nothing more to change the Constitution to be nothing more than a puppet to Islamic law. And the fact that you can't see the difference is troubling.

WTF? What a stupid thread. BYU would be a great addition to the Big 12, but TV will determine if they fit.

For starters, isn't the MBB championship played on a Sunday?
