One thing with this mid-season firing trend is there shouldn't be any issues with players sitting out seasons or bowl games to transfer. They shouldn't be expected to be loyal if the school gets rid of their coach.

They keep dropping like flies. I was never impressed with him.

Things look bad for this season and he's not the most interesting guy, but he's led one of the most successful 6 season stretches in their history if not the most.

Averaged 9-10ish wins, was 6-1 in bowls including an Orange and Cotton bowl.

It's one of the more interesting firings considering the general outcomes of his tenure.

This reminds me of Nebraska firing Solich. Grasping at trying to maintain 10 win seasons will lead to a crumbling of their entire program.

I have a friend who was just saying this.

Winning at WI isn't as automatic as it would seem.
