I think that in honor of Paul Rhoads's journey at Iowa State so far, a look at all he has done with the program is necessary

Some good links. Rhoads has done some good things. I'm hoping he will be around long enough that the links to Cyclone victory highlights and locker room speeches don't fit in one post.

Great compilation...I hope he sticks around and makes those achievements seem minimal

As was said in the Tulsa hit tape, he's building a championship program, and I don't think he wants to stop until he gets there

Does anyone have a link to the press conference when he said the quote in the Tulsa hit tape? It would make a great addition to this thread

I love the "proud" themes in the very first speech! And "we will hit them coming off the bus!"

Where is the Q&A part of the introduction press conference where he got a little choked up, then basically said, "hey I'm an emotional guy; what you see is what you get."?

Back then, people were worried to death about his public speaking. Those were some wild threads.

There was a MBB game that night, and they opened up the lower level, since the snowstorm left so many empty seats (and it looks terrible on TV). For halftime, they brought him out, and he gave essentially the same speech. Most of us were looking for a bus stop right away. It was electrifying.

People had been posting videos of Rhoads talking football, so the idea had been growing here as one of those things we chat about. The moment I heard him speak at Hilton, I was sold.

Was at that basketball game and gave Paul a high five when he was walking out to the court...

I knew right then we had a bad *** for a coach.
