"The real question is why does the ball even come close to the return men on the kickoff? Kick it 10 yards and fall on the fat guy that catches the ball. If your going to squib it, squib it short, if your going to kick it long might as well get some air under it and let our special teams get downfield."

It seemed to me that he did try to squip it, but it ended up being a line drive. Probably the worst scenario when trying to run out the clock. I have to say, Stanford-Cal came to mind after he crossed the 50.

Yeah, I did not get that either. Squib it past the front men, and let one of the LB's take it. Or pop it up short to the 30 or something, enough time to get the defense set.

Not really sure what that was, but my heart skipped a few beats until I saw those three flags all fly up at once.

basically EVERY Iowa player was holding... some did it to three other players.... It easily could have been an 180 yard penalty.

It was basically the same thing they did to LSU in the miricle play. Holiway was the designated receiver and all the other receivers grabbed as many DBs as they could. Great if you can get away with it. There was an LSU fan that posted some great pictures of the holds.
