Wouldn't that be something if Paul could get us to a bowl game this year. Have to win 4-5 early on for it to happen.

First:
"...Paul Rhoads always overchieves and beats his predictions, as he has not called for the Cyclones to get to a bowl game in Rhoads’ tenure..."

This is not true. CPR's first year here he told the players "we will go to a bowl this year" and we did. He set a goal for his guys that was measurable, achievable, with a definitive time frame.

Second:
"...
this year, he says they will be underdogs in at least 10 games and he expects them to pull some upsets."

Some upsets? This means we're only going to be favored in 2 games. We need 6 wins to go bowling, so "some" is a bit of an understatement, I'd say.

However, from his keyboard to God's ears!

Boom. I guess Phil "smokes crack before he posts" too.

I agree with Phil. I think we can get to 7 this year.

Clearly another example of a media outlet confusing us with the team out East.

From my link. Does that team have a QB named Sam Richardson?

64. Iowa State
Biggest Positive: All of a sudden, Iowa State has a little bit of talent and depth starting with a defensive front that welcomes back three starters and gets everyone back in the secondary. QB Sam Richardson and almost all the top targets return for what should be a far more dangerous offense.
Biggest Negative: The linebacking corps needs a little bit of an overhaul – the defense has way too much work to do and can’t afford to have problems in the front seven. The offense has the experience, but does it have the running game without Aaron Wimberly handling the rock?

Ugh...just remember Phil won't be as disappointed as you or I sitting on piles of money at his CFB mansion at the end of the year when ISU doesn't make ****.

2013 TCU - 4-8, 2-7 in Big XII (Only wins were SE LA, SMU, KU, and ISU but if I recall they beat us in the final seconds)

2014 TCU - 12-1, 8-1 in Big XII (Beat Ole Miss 42-3 in Peach Bowl and probably should have been undefeated instead of blowing it against Baylor)

Big turnarounds from year to year in college football are not unheard of. I'd take half of that turnaround.
