Devil's Bridge is a super easy and short hike, and you get some great views of red rock country. I went sky diving in the middle of nowhere in the red rocks 5 years ago and would recommend it to anyone willing.

Jerome is just up the hill from Sedona. It's an old mining town that's got a lot of cool stores and restaurants with a great view of the valley. It's also got a ton of tasting rooms as Arizona wine is growing quickly. The frontman of TOOL/A Perfect Circle/Puscifer has his tasting room and winery in Jerome. Keep going to Cottonwood and there are some great restaurants and views along the way.

Winner here. Been to AZ numerous times during the winter. Tons of things to do there, and this is one of many.

I second the Devil’s Bridge hike. We did some of the wineries mentioned and had a good time. My favorite restaurant in Sedona was Elote, but didn’t make it to many others since we were there for a wedding.

Been to AZ numerous times in January/February. It's tons of fun. Get on the AZ scenic drives website and pick any of them; they're all good! Oak Creek Canyon to Sedona is a winner. Flagstaff to the Grand Canyon is awesome. The Grand Canyon in winter is gorgeous and well-worth the drive. Some of the best Sedona red-rock views can be had from the airport atop the plateau. There are several scenic drives in and around Sedona. Pink jeep tour is worth the time/money. If you don't do a jeep tour, take time to hit the hiking trails.

Evenings can be cold, getting down into the 20s, so pack accordingly.

If including the Phoenix area and renting an AWD vehicle, do the Apache Trail Road! It's awesome...especially during a thunderstorm! The Santan Brewery in Chandler has an amazing bacon burger (bacon in the patty) and really good fries!

If you’re coming from the Midwest, you may have zero desire to play in the snow, but Flagstaff is an option if you are at all interested in skiing/snowboarding.

My wife and I are also going to be in Arizona first 2 weeks of February. Have Grand Canyon, Sedona, and Waste Management Open on our to do list. Make sure to have Cyclone gear on in case we run into fellow Cyclone travelers!

Barrett/Jackson likely doing a car auction during your time there. Worth a visit if you like rare and exotic cars.

Frank Lloyd Wright's Taliesin West is in Scottsdale near the site of the WM tourney. If you're into architecture, or history, it's an interesting tour.

And, you have to drive the Apache Trail Road in an AWD if you're renting one! It's well-worth the time.

Santan Brewery in Chandler is a great stop for good brews and a difficult-to-beat bacon burger with thin-cut fries.

And if your wife wants to shop, check out the Chandler Fashion Mall.

I’d love to do a bit of golfing just don’t want to haul our clubs out there. Is there places to rent good clubs for a day?
Definitely! Most of the courses have rental clubs, and there are actually companies out there that allow you to more specifically choose the clubs you want to rent and will have them ready at the course for you.

Don't go chasing balls into the desert. We had a very effective visual reminder of this when we went golfing at Cabo del Sol in Cabo. We were heading to the driving range to warm up and there was a dead rattler right on the cart path.

On a side note I am disappointed to learn that what was the Ocean course at Cabo del Sol is now called the Cove Club course and is exclusive to members. :( The last four holes on that course are right on the ocean and an amazing experience.
That's too bad..... fabulous course.

Anyone been to Antelope Canton on the Navajo Indian reservation before? The wife REALLY wants to go but I’m not completely sold on it yet.

I've been there a couple of times. Really beautiful if you're into rock formations. Some of the tour groups can be pricey though.

Definitely true. The Upper Antelope Canyon is about $100 per person and lower is about $50 per person for a tour. Plus they seem to book way in advance since there's only a handful of tour companies allowed. We ended up booking the lower canyon due to price and availability.
