Heck yeah!
I think my first foray into WAS they were maybe $2.75
What was it, like every hour they went up a quarter and it started at like 3 or 4?
I think in 2012 or 2011 we'd go at noon and it was a dollar but I'm not confident. It may have been my share was a dollar.

Fwiw... PP was one of the busiest pizza delivery places in the nation, early 80's. It wasn't unusual for several drivers to tally 90+ pizzas on a Sunday. If I recall right, given coupons, $4.90 for 12", $5.90 for 14," $6.90 for 16." Crazy.
I do recall delivering over 100 pies on a Sunday. I do recall nuttin' in terms of tips. A good night? Maybe $5.00.
Glad to hear, the Pit remains an Ames "institution." Funnest job I ever had. So fun...I never graduated!

Here you go:

The wings are produced or at least distributed by the company in the link below. You can tell because of the trademarked phrase "the heat is in the meat." I believe that phrase was on the menu or box when I worked at Pizza Pit in the 90's.

They are fried in an automated and timed fryer where the wings are loaded in the top and ejected out the side after so many minutes. That's why they are perfectly cooked every time.

i definitely see these wings around every once in a while. Look for the word inferno or that phrase and boom you can have infeeno ass all over again.

The Ames Pizza Pit sandwiches don't get enough love. The ham with kraut is dynamite.

I either worked at or had roomates/friends that worked at basically every pizza joint in Ames in the late nineties/early aughts, including DaVinci's, GPS&D, Home Team, Happy Joe'sand others if anyone needs the scoop.

Ate at Pizza Pit last night before the basketball game. Had their inferno wings. Fantastic. Somehow this article from this morning's article from the NY Times struck a chord.
