Play Edozie

I trust Fred on personnel decisions, but I have to say I found myself wondering, especially in the first half, what the hell Edozie has to do to find the floor.
Weirdly, I agree, McKay took all of his minutes.
Starting lineup for the rest of the season
G: Morris
G: BDJ
F: Hogue
F: Niang
F: McKay
6: Long
7: Nader
Spot minutes (5-10 a game)
8: Edozie
9: Thomas
Just my opinion, I think this is the best team from what I've seen. BDJ just needs Fred to talk to him. BDJ does a lot of little things well which is why I think he needs to keep getting minutes.
Gonna get bashed but don't care, besides 3-ball shooting, Thomas doesn't bring enough to the table. Perimeter defense today was very bad, not all his fault, but he's still a liability on that end.
Long off the bench to give the team a spark, his defense has not been great either.
The starting 5 I have would struggle shooting/spacing but this team is not a good shooting team so far for whatever reason.
I think Edozie could give a breather for McKay. Defensively, this team is below average.

I understand that talent-wise, there isn't playing time available for Edozie on this team.
HOWEVER, this team lacks defense and toughness in stretches, and that's where I think Edozie could give us a lift. When we need an infusion of energy and toughness on defense, I think you should give Edozie some minutes.

On one hand, he is not going to help the outside shooting woes or get us playing Hoiball. However, maybe he could help us win in a different way. I don't mean to be overly critical of the guys, but many of them are just not physical enough for that style of play. Edozie's effort and physicality may help set a tone of what we need.
Play Edozie when the rest of our guys are bending over for other teams on the road. I would have been fine with all of our regular rotation players sitting after that terrible performance to start the game.
Not sure why Edozie doesn't get any minutes. I would think it would keep the other guys fresh if he got just 3-5 minutes, but I don't know. I always thought he gave good minutes last year. If nothing else it at least would tell the team "you want to give the other team a 20 point head start? Fine. We can do that with you on the bench."
Looking at Texas, Georges is going to have to rebound much better. He was overly matched that first half on effort. When BDJ, one of our better rebounders was not in the game. Not sure we can rebound very good against big teams. Then, when you take shots like you are in junior high, you quickly get in trouble.
