It was really simple and exactly what it looked like. Me asking if any of others had actually listened to it and if CW was at all critical of the coaching. Sometimes things are as they appear.

So it's safe to assume you had the same open criticism of the two previous coaches through their varying degrees of early success and sought it out from the folks who run the site.

There was plenty there for the taking as there is now.

Yeah this is my problem with the lazy “we just don’t have shooters” analysis. In Hilton Adams and TTU showed that you defend ISU as if we do have shooters until you pay the price for extending. It still hasn’t happened consistently, and ISU has been easy to defend. It’s true that this team doesn’t have shooters and will not be a consistently good offensive team. But it does not need to be a historically bad offense.
I think Tech’s über-athletic, #1 ranked packline defense isn’t exactly the benchmark we should use for how teams guard us, but we’ve definitely been scouted.

Teams know that Kunc and Grill won’t take them off the dribble and know that our drivers struggle against interior length and athleticism and they don’t respect the dump off because athletic bigs can recover and contest against George and Jones and neither is a threat at the second or third level. Everyone except Brockington is only dangerous at one, maybe two levels, so it’s not hard to know where to be. And even if you get beat you can foul because our most fouled players have struggled at the line.

I have no idea what the offense could be doing differently schematically, but I wonder if shortening the rotation was a mistake. I feel like if there’s not much of a production difference you play all of Walker, Enaruna and Jackson based on matchups and production and you force the other team to scout everyone and be disciplined against a variety of threats.

Absolutely. Was critical of Prohm for readily apparent issues with his management of the program and one of the few people on here that have been consistently pointing out how Fred giving up on the high school recruiting trail resulted in one of the biggest talent cliffs we’ve ever seen.

What about the coaching though?

Some of you take this internet fan site thing way too seriously.

I’m basically on the team and also a professional basketball coach. Almost every post in this thread is in one way or another questioning if TJ is trying to lose on purpose.

Is it any different than a lot of people on here treat them the best football coach we’ve ever had?

I believe its a TALENT ISSUE...Not enough good players let along Great Shooters. I don't see anybody on this team who resembles Monte Morris or the great one George Niang...

We are stuck here if RECRUITING DOESN'T GET A WHOLE LOT BETTER!

Well figuring TJ didn't get to start recruiting until sometime in April (hired March 18) I think I'll give him a chance to see how his recruiting goes. Lipsey didn't look shabby in the HS state tournament.
