Nice podcast! Best of luck to Allen this year w/ the Packers. He might be the guy this year for Rodgers. And if he does well, it should really boost his contract the following year!!

I love how Allen comes back to IA, has a home here, in Bondurant, and likes coming back to ISU, working out, giving his time to the younger players!

I loved hearing about how what NFL life looks like behind the scenes. Had no idea players get additional pay based on amount played.

Yeah, that surprised me too and was a great new fact. Also how the payments are based are not all the same based on contract. Really cool way for guys without mega contracts to get additional pay based on making the field.

More stories from the 2017 season would be awesome. Get Allen, Joel, and Marchie together sometime to rehash it.

This is not 2017, obviously, but I thought I heard Allen say his Dad played on the last ISU team that beat OU prior to that, in 1990. Clip of that game again.

I didn't realize that the OU QB in that 1990 game, was Cale Gundy (Joseph Cale Gundy), Mike's brother. Cale Gundy has been an OU coach since 1999, currently a WR coach there.

And sure enough, Kevin Lazard, 1990 roster.

LB, not sure years, was one of the guys who saved a woman’s life. Pretty sure several years were with Allen.
