I watched a video last night on YouTube that was titled, “Iowa vs South Dakota St sets football back 100 years,” and holy **** is Iowa bad. If ISU doesn’t win this by double digits, it will be embarrassing. Get a little bit of pressure on Petras and he panics. Hopefully Heacock isn’t conservative and blitzes all game long.

This is the first time in a long time where I feel like Iowa State is built to beat Iowa comfortably. If Dekkers can come out and make the safe throws it could be a long day for the Hawks. IMO our WR's haven't been talked about enough, we are a matchup nightmare for Iowa as long as CMC doesn't get sucked into Iowa's game... Last weeks first offensive possession told me that Campbell knows what this teams strength is and that the offense needs to run through Dekkers.

Hutchinson is one of the best receivers in the country right now. If we can keep Dekkers protected then Hutchinson will find ways to get open. ISU should win this one over a horribly awful disgusting Iowa offense that can't score a touchdown against an FCS opponent.

Petras is out there playing 5D chess, sucking for the past 10 games or whatever, just to play possum and surprise ISU.
The real big brain is Kirk realizing that Brian is bad at his job but doesn't want to fire him. He also doesn't want to retire and leave the program to Brian. He's playing the looong game of letting things go south for the next couple of years so Barta has to fire him and therefore can't possibly bring Brian Ferentz in as future head coach.

I think (and my opinion is like everyone's *******, we all have them and none are more impressive than the other) is that Iowa is just LOVING the fact that they know exactly what they'll get from the Heacock defensive scheme and they'll be able to dink and dunk their way down the field throughout the first half, gaining them some points and more importantly, their offense needing some confidence. And they know their defense can keep them in the game, it'll come down to where we sit at halftime and what those halftime adjustments will be. We always adjust well at half, but how much damage will occur beforehand. All in all, like most games, the only way we win this game is if we win the turnover margin and that means, if there are no turnovers or one each way, Hawkeyes win, all a guess........

P.S. The good news is that I will miss the game due to a funeral out of town.....I was frustrated for about 22 seconds before realizing that the football gods have provided us a gift and this very death will lead us to victory and my bragging rites for a year! :D

I wasn’t impressed with our defense. SEMO beat themselves with a lot of penalties. Other than that, they did a good job of nickel and diming us.
Clones had about 9 missed tackles and 2 dropped picks .... and why can’t Heacock scheme a defensive game plan before the game starts?

This line stinks. The amount of action on ISU to cover should be lowering the line. They're going to take it in the shorts if isu wins or Iowa wins by three.

And yes, I'm one of the suckers who bet on ISU. An Iowa win by 3 is the perfect storm.

No, Iowa must win the turnover margin to have a chance in this game not ISU. A push definitely favors ISU. The last 4 games Iowa state has absolutely dominate except special teams and turnovers.
