Are you going to be able to make it to the ISU spring football game this year on April 20th?

For those of you who are coming, do you tailgate at all? If so, reply to this thread. The only thing I love more than the spring game is an excuse to tailgate. Always a good time. Now lets just hope for good weather!!!!

Unfortunately I have other commitments that weekend, but I tailgated last year and it was a lot of fun. You can park wherever around the stadium free of charge. I got to feel like a big donor for a few hours.

Wish I could, but I won't be home. Does anyone know if this will be on cyclones.tv?

I don't remember for sure, but I think it was broadcasted live on there. However, if my mind serves me correct, only highlights were available for playback on a later date. This was probably done so that opposing teams are unable to rewatch it. I know they do the same thing with volleyball games where they are available live, but not archived. CJL has said publicly that it was her decision for them to not do this in order to make it harder for opponents to scout them.

Tailgating will depend on weather and if we attend other VEISHEA activities. Hard to pass up those cherry pies!

I like how it is the same weekend as VEISHEA this year as I think I remember a year or two where it wasn't. I could be wrong with that though.

Me and a group of guys are planning on going this year. Golf in the AM, tailgating before the spring game, game, then Cy's House of Trivia later that afternoon. Should be a pretty fun day. Hopefully the weather pans out.

Anyone ever done Cy's Trivia before? This is our first year and just wondering what to expect?

Hope to tailgate with some friends and use it to make plans for ramping up big tailgates for the Fall. Have to make the most of the one Saturday per month in Aug, Sept, and Oct that we have home games.

If you are looking for a tailgate, the Cyclone Gridiron Club will once again be hosting its annual Cyclone Gridiron Club Spring Game Tailgate. Coach Rhoads will be meet with the group as well prior to the game.

This year's tailgate will be held on the plaza just north of the Jacobson Building and will feature two meal options:

Adult Meal - $10/person, includes pulled pork sandwich, chips, a side and drink (water or soda)
Children’s Meal - $3/child (twelve and under), includes hot dog, chips, a side and drink

The food will be served starting at 11:30 AM and Head Coach Paul Rhoads will speak to tailgate attendees at 1 PM. Game time is set for 2PM. See you at Jack Trice for our first look at the 2013 Cyclone football team!

I'm planning on going, but I've got something I've got to get back home for which will require me hitting the road by 4 pm. Does anyone remember approximately how long the entire spring game lasts? I've probably been to the last 4 or 5 game and don't remember them being super long, but I can't remember for sure. I do know that they've had different formats for the games from year to year and I figure that will affect things too. Any help would be appreciated, thanks.

Bump. I'd still like to know if anyone remembers how long the spring game usually lasts.

Usually just a couple hours and by the 4th quarter you probably won't really care if you have to leave early, kind of boring by that point along with all backups of the backups playing.

Thanks for responding. Yeah, it is coming back to me again now. True story for sure.
