I am liking these recruits TJ and Freddy are bringing in but... We need big post players 6.10 6.11 or above. I mean we only have 2 guys over 6.10 and they don't have much experience at all Jordan Railey 6.10 (Freshman) and Jamie Vanderbeken 6.11 ( 1 year letter winner)...

Oh your right Iowa State didn't have two last year with Brackins and Dendy.
and your right the big 12 hasn't been stacked with big men who could run the past few years... Kevin Durant, Beasley, Griffin
You do realize Beasley went about 6'7" right?
And Brackins about 6'8"?
And Dendy was more harm than good in most cases. His defense was awful, and his court awareness was beyond awful. Did he have some great games? Yes, but he also had some beyond terrible games.
And nice job pointing out a few of the best players in Big 12 history. Why didn't you mention Cole Aldrich? Or Dexter Pittman? Or any of the players Missouri has had recently.
Well Yahoo has Beasley at 6.10 and the Miami Heat roster have him at 6.10...

And I didn't mention Cole Aldrich or Pittman because we are talking about big men that can run the floor.... and they can't

their pick of 3 or 4 MCD all-American true Centers before the 4th of July weekend. Probably 1 or 2 stocking shelves at the Windsor Heights Wal-Mart.

Iowa State needs a good big man... I mean name one great team that didn't have a great post player... I mean look at the Finals right now ( oh man I just looked up and Brian Scalabrine is in hahahahaha) but anyway look at the finals right now... Lakers have Gasol... Boston has KG

Stand next to Craig, and tell me he's 6'10". What a roster says is normally bull ****. Beasley I believe was measured at 6'7" and change before the NBA draft.

Great doesn't mean you run the floor well. Shaq was a pretty damn good big man, and that fat *** can't run the floor to save his ***. Dexter Pittman was a pretty damn good big man, but he can't run the floor to save his ***. LaRon Dendy could run the floor, and he was not a good Big 12 big man. Marcus Fizer was a HELL of a big man, and he wasn't even big.

We aren't in the NBA. Totally different dynamic where it comes down to things like height because of the elite talent.
You don't need elite post up guys in college. You need guys that work hard and will run the floor in this system. IMO, height alone is highly overrated. Look at a guy like Luke Harangody. It's all about your skill and determination, not just height.
Yes I agree with that... But Luke was a true post player... Iowa State doesn't have a true post player... So what am I trying to say is "Iowa State needs to recruit a true post player with experience...
