I'd say we won't be getting the Duke transfer because it'd be off trend. All our transfers were either studs at a smaller school looking to upgrade or a star in their program but got kicked off the team and needed a second chance. Haven't been a home for anyone looking to score more playing time.

Our trend is to find the best available taken regardless of where it comes from.

This kid will have good options but he very well may be looking for a program such as ISU which obviously isn't a bluebblood but still can compete with them.

You make a good point, but Fred laughs at your rules. Transfer U goes any direction it wants.

Maybe it's time to start saving scholarships for these middle of the year transfers. It puts Fred in a tough spot to have to convince these kids to pay their own money for a semester. I mean, we all know it's the best route for them to go but when other schools are giving them a scholarship for next semester, it's probably tough to turn down.

That would apply to Deonte Burton as well then.

For sure. With the explosion of good transfers and our reputation as a good landing spot, it makes complete sense to keep one on hand if possible. You don't have to take any late "reach" type players. Bluford would be a great example.

I totally understand the thought on taking Tsalboris. A 7 footer with range and good feet is worth it IMO.

I could definitely see him improvong greatly with a year under his belt and some additional weight on his frame

Babb, Clyburn, Cooke etc do not fit smaller school guys or troubled transfers.

Nevertheless I doubt we get him, but who knows. We are a different program now, and if he is looking for a coach that can fully utilize his skills we are a great option.

I have feeling about SDW. The guy hasn't even got scrap minutes the last few weeks when others at his lvl have. I wonder if we will hear something from him pretty soon. Hope not but wouldn't blame him
