Nine points does seem extremely high. If we start to see some downward movement on that line tomorrow and Friday I'm going to feel really good about our chances.
.

I don't understand this thinking at all. Why on earth do you let bettors in vegas to drive what you think is going to happen in the game? that doesn't make any sense at all.

If UT rushes for more than 150 yds, ISU will be in trouble. If this happens McCoy 2.0 will be able to use PA passes to get LB's to bite and then open up the passing game to keep us offbalance.

Rump and co. NEED a big day. Slow/stop the run and put the game in McCoy's hands, make a young QB beat you. If we can do this I like our chances.

Oh yeah and the turnovers and penalties have got to stop from here on out. Limit mistakes and keep the ball in the offenses hands will also force UT to pass more than they want to.

Prediction: 28-24 I-S-U!!!

Here's a great breakdown from shaggybevo on how UCLA was very effective against UT and also how ISU will attack the longhorns D.

Texas run D vs UCLA (pics included))

UCLA torched them with the zone read and that's with a QB that is virtually useless in the zone read. The Jantz/SJ combo should be lethal against the horns D. With some early success I'm hoping they draw their safeties up and inside and then we can start killing them with the outside swing passes and play action middle to deep routes. O Line has to come ready to play, especially Farniok, Tuftee and Hicks on the inside. SJ/Jantz have to hold on to the ball of course, but I like our chances of putting up more than 28 points in this game and I don't think Texas is good enough on offense yet to score more than 28 without a short field to work with (they only have 2 drives over 80 yards on the season that have ended in TDs and both of those were with Gilbert at QB.)

This is ancient history, but during the 99-00 BB season, I kept waiting for the losing to 'start.' In the end, it didn't really happen until the infamous regional final in MI.

This FB team sort of has that feel. Maybe not the talent, but ...

The refs WILL try to take this from us if they can. People forget the horrific officiating at Texas last year when they realized Texas needed help to win, and it still wasn't enough.

An undefeated Texas team is going to get a lot of calls, because people want them in the BCS conversation, just look at what happened to Kansas a few years ago when they were robbed.

Ben Bruns said it on the radio as well a couple weeks back, the refs just can't beleive a kid from ISU can block a kid from Texas, must be holding.

Going to have to play through that to win, we have to beat them by 2 touchdowns to win by a field goal.
