This is what scares me. Hopefully ISU makes free throws tonight.

This has been their strategy in both of the previous games. To limit this we'll need to draw fouls during the first half so they have to wait longer into the second half to start fouling. I think it was the game in Austin when they purposefully fouled like 3 times in a row to get to the bonus with like 7 minutes left. I don't get how more of those aren't intentional fouls, most aren't basketball plays. Regardless, if we can hit of FT's it won't matter.

Texas didn't looks that great last night. I am interested in what defense they play on us since we have carved up their zone and man. I think we are just a bad matchup for Texas like Baylor is for WVU.

WE ARE NOT TEXAS TECH - That was hard to watch last night. They kept saying how Texas was coming together, and playing better. I honestly didn't see it. Texas Tech just couldn't buy a bucket, let alone know how to deny the post pass, and then foul because they were out of position. They were in the bonus by the 15:00 mark :twitcy:. We've matched up well in the past. After the last two games does Texas believe they can beat us? I'd say they probably do, but it has to be in the back of their mind. We'll have the home court advantage even though it's a "neutral" court. It won't even be close. We've had 4 days to rest to Texas 22 hours. The only way they have kept games close in the past two games was fouling with 7 minutes left, and throwing up prayers. I'd rather see Texas Tech or TCU, but I'm not overly concerned with Texas.

ISU-83
Texas-71

Remember Texas has scored 70 points 4 times this year in the BIG12 (two of those against ISU) and has only won two of those games. If they want to win the game they'd better hope we score in the 60's, and we all know that's not going to happen.

I hope that Texas' 7th, 8th and 9th fouls in each half send ISU to the FT line for 'and one' opportunities.

IF Texas wants to beat us they have to find a way to keep up on offense. To date their best offense comes from their bigs down low in the post.

If they go with their bigs, ISU has a lot of opportunities in transition and slashing to the basket with Gaurd play.

If they go small to limit our offensive threats, they lose their offensive edge as well.

I think Barnes will start his bigs to try and create offense, IF we can get a 8-10 point lead, he will be forced to go small and from that point it will be game over for Texas.

Barnes almost needs whole line shifts every few plays to keep up, it's how they are built. IF Texas Gaurds get going early, it will be a rough game for us to finish off.
