We HAVE to win this game. I can't take another let down kick in the nuts game again. Get your ***** out there and perform on the road.

Does this mean if we lose you'll stop posting? I'm trying to find a silver lining here.

I watched them play Stanford. Their guards Haws and Carlino are excellent shooters, like to run and attack the basket in transition. They prefer to initiate contact on the break and get fouled, but will also drive in half court sets. Stanford played horrible transition defense. Defending them without fouling and keeping them out of the lane is the key to winning. Their bigs are a couple of stiffs and if they play the big lineup they played most of the Stanford game, Ejim and Niang will abuse them.

I think Haws puts on his magic underwear and we see a foul heavy game. BYU 80-75

1st road game in a hostile environment against a solid team. Think BYU wins if Haws plays, ISU wins if he doesn't.

I want to know who scheduled this. Young team, first road game, coming off the huge win, in altitude, against a team full of 20+ year olds. Seems like a recipe for disaster.

Seriously, I can't think of a worse first road game. They are good enough they'll give us a game, but I think a loss to them could hurt us later in the year (i.e., its not like a young team going to Duke or something where a loss doesn't hurt).

Sounds like just what they need. A good test in a hostile environment. They're going to see that in conference, so might as well prepare. A loss here is not a huge setback and a win pads the resume.

Should be a fun game. Like other posters have said, if the Clones can pull off the win, I will also be completely "ALL IN" drinking the kool-aid!

I don't think we'll win, but a loss won't hurt us. BYU looks to be a bubble / tourney team and the Marriott Center is a tough place to play.

I find it very hard to believe that we are going to go from beating them by 20 last year to losing by 10-15 this year. Plus, we played them early last year as well (sure, at home, but still early) before the team really knew what was going on. This team is TOTALLY different. I am not worried at all about the chemistry or athleticism of our guys.

I think the Doc Sadler hire was the absolute best thing not recruiting related to happen in the offseason. 35th in defensive efficiency to match up with 24th in offense? Multiple guys with double-figure point averages? Youth AND experience all playing effectively? That hire was magic - shows Fred isn't just a great basketball mind, but a good leader as well.

I think we take this win by 10.

If we play defense like we did against Michigan and hustle after rebounds I think we can win. Need big shots from Naz and Thomas.

Was that Michigan game as emotional as last years Kansas game? Not at all, it was a completely different outcome, but we laid a huge egg on the road that following game against Oklahoma. BYU 112-95.

Maybe be this team is different, but I doubt it. Prove me wrong boys!

Theres a difference between supporting your team and foolishly expecting a win on the road in November against a tourney team with such a young team. Am I going to scream at my TV still? Yes. Do I think we can win? Yes. I'm just not expecting it.

And you're welcome to your opinion. Some of us disagree...he's right though - did you miss the optimism portion of your sig line? Not to mention, this ain't like the last two years of Hoiball...

I think you missed my point. I'm very optimistic about the season, excited about the game and season, and enthusiastic no matter what happens. I just don't think we win tomorrow. I certainly feel better after the Michigan win though.
