Defense is elite. Offense is bad. Special teams are beyond what a D1 team should ever put on the field.
Receiver has to know down and distance also. X is great but when you need 3 yards, get a 1 yard pass, you need to turn and drive up field immediately. Just falling forward will get you 1.5 yards so you just need one step to pick it up. Tried to stretch it sideways too much.
Nope this is worse, because of all the factors, year one vs year 6, etc. This is so gross, 11 pts vs the worst D in the Conf.

I am so sick of the use of “elite”. Nothing about isu football is elite right now. We can strive to be elite but we’re real far off. Let’s just talk about being very good first.
I am concerned that we've seen Dekkers barking at CMC in a couple of games, and at his teammates. Meantime, we have WRs looking at the side line like WTF. I don't recall seeing that much, if ever, in the CMC era. Dekkers has to be under tremendous pressure succeeding the best era in ISU history, as well as the Media/fan hype. I just hope this group can come together and find more success this Season.
Blum and others did this kid a disservice with how much they hyped him up during the off-season.

Problems may get worse. SIAP posted, but apparently some @$$hole leaked Gilbert’s cell number and a bunch of @$$holes are going after him via text. Come on! We are @#$&ing better than that, not to mention our enemies will pile on posing as Cyclones. He‘s an 18yo kid that feels worse than any fan right now.
The last time we saw a QB barking at CMC we ended up with Kyle Kempt.
This was my take. 14 total points (with 7 coming on a INT shortened field) should be enough to win any game. Period. End of story. And we had opportunities to score points, and peed them all down our leg. Offense needs a come-to-Jesus in the worst way.
