There are quite a few records that we have made under Prohm. Biggest loss in Hilton. Largest loss to non-Power 6 at home. Loss to a MEAC school at home, largest loss to Iowa.

Do you have any stats about largerst losses on full moon nights or the biggest tell of them all, losses when the high temp for the day didn't get above freezing?

If you arn't getting better you are getting worse. The masses see we arn't getting better. There has been zero approach change to offer any hope either. This goose is cooked and we all know it. Sucks we didn’t hit gold with CSP but the is like a 3 outa 10 on the coaching scale.

Nailed it. He has yet to show improvement in his players and definitely no overall team improvement nor pre-game planning or in-game adjustments.

I sometimes wonder what he’s doing in practice... seriously what’s being practiced to see such disorder and lack of change.

He’s done well in other places but he’s awful in terms of playing the role of coach since being at ISU. Good coaching makes individual players and their function as a team together better. He’s done close to nothing of significance.

I find the constant Mc Dermott references strange. He has proven to be a very good coach - very good. Although it has been debated at length - not real sure what went wrong at ISU.

The poster I replied to specifically askedto discuss comparisons to recent coaches. Why would you find my reply strange?

Eh, I know lots of people who say they are Cyclones fans who bet this game. That spread was easy money for anyone who follows this team closely.

FIFY

Some people's opinion would be that if you bet against the team that you say is your favorite team then you are actively rooting against that team. I would say that the action of doing so confirms it.

How does one defend wanting "their" team to lose by at least 14?

I understand being critical of CSP, but I have never understood people that make plays against their teams. Actually, I do. They are degenerates.

Nobody wants it. We all just expect it.

This is really stupid. Georges Niang was 10 times the trash talker that Haliburton will ever be. Did Fred have a culture problem?

Thanks. You apparently didn't read very hard, and are also making **** up, since I didn't say Prohm has a culture problem, but pointed toward some specific things that imo indicate a lack of discipline.

So I'll paraphrase.

Talking trash is common. Happens often. Niang was great at it. I don't recall him constantly turning toward the opponent's bench throughout the game though. I doubt he would have done that on a historically bad team.

And please don't post the gif of Niang blowing the kiss. That was a game that was well in hand toward fans that were likely after him the entire time.

Ill give him one more year after this, to see if these young guys can start to play together and the coaching improves, but my support for him is quickly going downhill.

I completely expected them to lose last night, but I didn't actively cheer against them by putting cash on it.

I understood the frustration in Prohm and most of these posts are based in fact and relevant, but it really seems like there are a large number of posters on here that have decided not to support a Cyclone athletic team of students. Students at a school that I assume most of us went to.

I choose not to be as critical of CSP as some on here and although I am not excited about his results I still choose to cheer for the Cyclones.

To be honest, we have a lot going on in our lives right now and spending 2 hours watching basketball, even bad basketball is a huge positive escape from reality for my family right now. I'm still wearing an ISU shirt today and nothing that happened last night is going to stop us watching the next game. We are fanatics.

100% this. What other evidence do people want to see?

If you take out Garza and line up Iowa player for player, they aren’t more talented than we are. It’s that Fran puts in a system where they actually play together and thrive. When has Prohm done that?? Never.

I don’t know if I would agree. ISU is obviously more athletic and has more potential if you take Garza out of the equation, but Iowa’s guys are far more skilled. Wieskamp and Frederick are incredibly skilled.

I wish I would have put cash on it. Missed opportunity.

Prohm is not the best high school recruiter we’ve had. Fred was better. He was here a shorter time and had Ejim, Niang, Matt, Naz, Monte.
Technically Ejim was a McD recruit that Fred had to retain.

Nunge owned us when Garza was out. None of our bigs would play for Iowa. I don’t think any of our guards would start for Iowa. A case could be made for Bolton.

I think this year is going to be really, really tough on Prohm - I'm not sure he has any idea how bad this team is, and how miserable things are going to be for him with our fanbase.

It's one thing to lose games, but we're going to get pounded by 20+ by at least 5 b12 teams...and we play them twice!!

Maybe tre, hunter, hinson next yr + some improvement from javan, xavier, rasir will give him one last shot.

Or maybe his players should play a little harder for him? Why are they so untouchable?
Hummel called ISU players out numerous times last night for their lack of effort on defense.

because he recruited and coaches every single one of these guys. If he can’t get them to listen, he recruited the wrong guys which is on him.
