Had a chance to sit front row last season. Absolutely a must-see if you're a college basketball junkie. It is a barn. A tradition-filled barn. But a barn.

I found the player worship to be a little creepy (fans waiting outside the locker room for autographs a couple hours after the game). I'll give them a break that they had two top 5 NBA picks, but some of them were grown men.

Before you hit up Stub hub I believe KU still has tickets that they will be selling next wednesday at 9am. Just an idea.

Been the last few years, can't go this year unfortunately. Not a bad seat in that place really. Fans have always been very nice but that was before this year and now they're starting to worry about what's going on in Ames. Wish I could go this year but I'll be there next year

I don't think I'd consider those rickety old bleacher seats in the upper corners very good seats but that's just me.

The grown men getting autographs will be selling those in their sports memorabilia shops or online. Book it. As a person who likes to take my kid down to get autographs after a game, I get annoyed by the people who are clearly professionals there to make a buck. The unofficial rule is that kids go to the front and adults without kids get out of their way.

Just be prepared to sit in bleachers. Can't imagine paying the money it takes to have season tickets for KU basketball to sit on high school bleachers.

The GA seats are really kind of fun - bleacher type setup and good, casual fans for most part. Not really a bad seat that I have ever seen. The atmosphere if good but much different that Hilton. More old school/nostalgic.

Get there early and tour the museum area. Although all Jayhawk, pretty kewl stuff for a CBB fan.

It's all about getting into the building. I can't imagine the donation we'd have to give for years on end to get into the sections with seats. Mind boggling. I will say that the corner sections (2A, 9A and 20A) in rows above 27 are a little bit tough to get in and out of due to having only a rudimentary aisle fed from stairs that go to the back of those areas. You're in the building but I would make sure you hit the bathrooms and concessions only before the game or at halftime. It can be a hassle getting in and out of those tip top rows during a game. Other than that, you should be good to go from pretty much anywhere.

I will be there with 3 other Cyclones. There aren't too many bad seats in AFH, but I typically recommend not to buy tix in 9A, 13A, 2A, or 21A. Those are corner seats and it's waaaay up there. Most of Cyclone fans typically sits in those corner sections though.

Retail for this game is 100 bucks, so anything less than 100 is a pretty decent deal. If you are looking for tickets, let me know. I might be able to help you out!

They don't sellout? I thought they had the best fans in the world.
Next Wednesday is the SCHEDULED "public sale" of any tickets remaining after the student redemption, student sale, season ticket wait list sale, Williams Fund Donor (high end) sale and Williams Fund Donor *all other levels) sale. The odds of there being any tickets left to put up for sale next Wednesday after all that is probably zero. But it is always scheduled and posted in advance. So planning on scooping up tickets next Wednesday probably isn't a great idea.

I haven't gone for a few years but during the Tinsley/Fizer then Stinson/Blalock eras this is how I always got tickets. Can't imagine demand is much different down there now.

I'll be there. I live/work in Topeka and someone posted 4 tickets for sale on our company bulletin board so me and a KU fan from work bought them. I'll be there with 2 other KU fans, but the person who was going to take the 4th ticket backed out on me.

Still have a couple of people I'm waiting to hear back from, but I may have to post it on here if they can't go. $100 located about 3/4 of the way up behind the basket near the ISU bench if it comes to that.

The one time I went I sat in section 13 and it was a good seat for a mid corner. I don't think any of the seats are too terrible. I did avoid GA as I don't like dealing with that.

Get there very early so you can go through the museum. This will also help with parking. You can park within a mile on residential streets for free, I wouldn't pay for parking if you can handle a 10-15 minute walk.

I avoided the tollroad in Kansas so I left Lawrence on highway 10 east. Instead of immediately going to 23rd st (highway 10), I turned early onto 19th st going east, then went south on Harper (I think) and then turned onto 23rd st. This saved a lot of time as 19th st was empty and 23rd was full of cars barely moving.

The first time I went was the McLemore bank shot game. I don't plan on going there again there for away a while. What a buzz kill.

Cool environment though.

One of the great environments in basketball. Plus we're their Super Bowl now.

Still remember where I was. Some JR high basketball tournament in Storm Lake, Iowa.

I remember it, too. I was trying to coach some youth basketball team in Ames, and afterwards we all huddled around the TV at the gym. Those teams with Stinson and Blalock were immune to playing at Phog Allen -- the year before was the game where Langford hit the 2 pointer that was called a 3 to send it to overtime (there were also some points scored between free throws earlier in the game).
