All I have learned about Pitt is their fans do not appreciate humor. **** em
Make FT's and bunnies.Keys to victory:
1. Run them off the 3 point line
2. Get back in transition
3. Bigs have to handle the high pick and roll/pick and pop game
4. Punish them for being undersized by getting to the rim
5. Own the boards
6. Turn them over
Pitt last night reminded me a lot of Baylor. They never drove the ball to attack the rim. It was always drive, stop, turn around to try for a 3 rinse repeat. We match up great with that. The concern would be if they attack the rim and force fouls to be called and get to the FT line. That's where we really get in trouble against teams (like KU). My guess is the refs will let them play like we want to but have tight whistles around the rim.
The only concern to me is if they get hot from 3 and if that happens there's only so much we could do anyway.
You’re pretty much wrong with this whole line. TJ uses the zone to confuse opponents and it’s worked pretty much every time he’s done it.I think it's wonky to do and really doesn't help. There's been a few times lately where we stay in it longer and it's actually been effective. Ward is really the perfect player to throw at the zone. If Watson, Ward and King are in the game at the same time I think we should probably run the zone the entire time. Watson and Ward are built to be perfect zone defenders.
THIS is scary. They started a post to combat a Cyclone Larry post, so there's that.

"A 19-13 team with a 0.500 conference record should not be a favorite over Pitt. I don't give a s$%t about what conference they're in. That's all hype from uninformed people and the media. And I don't use that NET and computer garbage that others swear by. I use my own eyes and see what their record is, which is the ultimate determining factor. I'll give them the benefit of the doubt and, if we don't have Fede, they might be a 1 point favorite. It will be a similar game as the Pitt-MSU game...back and forth, lead changes, staying within 5 points for most of the game. If we are to win, we'll have to rebound better, play better defense as we did later in the MSU game, and make out FT's at a 77% clip like we did all season."
More zone defense has helped with the fouls a little bit.ISU committed far less fouls the last three games of the year and I'm not sure why(Grill, tournament refs, focus on moving the feet, etc)??
So says a Pitt fan that most likely has never watched a single Iowa State game this year. They started a post to combat a Cyclone Larry post, so there's that.

Their center didn't play and didn't one of their other better players only play limited minutes? To be fair, has anyone watched a Pitt game before last night?
Eye test for one game wasn't exactly flattering for them, after minimal viewing it's hard not to agree with the numbers that say this will be the worst team ISU has matched up with in three months. With that being said, I fully expect them to throw up garbage off the backboard from 30 feet out while causing me all sorts of headaches in the process.
I'll allow this.Greetings ISU fans. I come in peace here. Just wanted to wish y'all good luck against pitt. Gonna have a lot of WVU fans rooting for you. I think yall win comfortably.
Eat **** pitt!
I’ve watched two of their other games. I wasn’t impressed. One of them was Michigan. To be fair, has anyone watched a Pitt game before last night?
