Mitchell county. I drove around this morning to survey damage. There is some pretty bad tree damage in localized places. The cemetery on the south side of town had about a dozen flag poles bent over. I pulled in to get the flags off the ground but someone already had. I called my parents who live only about 5-6 miles Noth of me and they only had 3 inches. We had 8-9 in town.

Sioux Falls turn now. Almost 4 inches where I'm at but I have a friend on the SE side of town who 7 inches in their gauge. And it's still raining, albeit lighter than before.
All of this rain stuff treated my part of the Twin Cities well. Around six inches since Tuesday but not more than 1.75" in any given day and not more than 3/4" in any given hour. Lucky us, just about perfect for the dry here.
Dug up some flowers and hostas yesterday, was thinking maybe too wet to do that, and was surprised the soil was just sort of normal moist, not really that wet. #dry_sponge
