Random ISU FB player you remember

During the CF after dark Litecast, they started bringing up random players they remember. Here are a few random ones that came to my head.

Demond Tucker - DL - 2015 to 2016? He was really quick for a DT, but kind of fizzled out his senior year.

Jeremiah Schwartz - RB, I remember a coach calling him "a rolling ball of butcher knives". He started at the Nebraska win in Lincoln (8 TO game) but never did much. I think he transferred to Ohio or something.

Brett Medders - had a few big catches in the win against Iowa back in 2014? I think he is Lindsey Fennelly's brother.

Do you have any random ISU football players that stick in your head and what you remember them for?

I have several that come to mind. But should keep the reasoning to myself.

McCarny Era

1. Justin Eilers - Dude was roided up and broke another player's jaw in practice during a fight in a fit of roid-rage. Went on to fight in MMA
2. Ellis Hobbs - Art and Design major (like me). Talked to him frequently in the art library. Super nice guy. Had a great NFL career with the Eagles and Patriots.
3. Jason Barryman - terrorized QBs as well as the general Ames community. Dude could not keep his **** together. I still remember the play vs. Iowa where the snap got past Drew Tate cause he was literally staring at Barryman in terror and forgot the snap count.
4. Tyeses Thompson - just an all-time great name. Got into a lot of legal trouble, and I think may still be in jail?
5. Josh Johnson - a random RB who tore up the field one spring. All the coaches called him "juice" and were all saying all spring, "he's got the juice!" Never saw the field.
6. Mike Wagner - decent running back who gave one of the most brutal blocks I've ever seen to spring Seneca for "the run."

Chizik Era

1. Phil Bates - highly rated QB who begrudgingly switched to WR when he wasn't handed the starting. job. Transferred to Ohio and wasn't very good there. Had a huge catch against Iowa that set up the game-winning FG tho.

Rhodes Era

1. David Irving/Rodney Coe - kinda the same person in my mind. Both were awesome on the field but real **** heads off the field. We all remember Irving carrying the stop sign down Welch Ave during the final Veisha riot. Irving got some run with the Cowboys but couldn't stay away from the reefer.
2. Bo Williams - Former 4-star RB who transferred from Florida. Couldn't crack the 3 deep, and Cyclone Nation was in meltdown every Saturday when he didn't see the field. Finally, they put him in the game in a blowout loss against Texas A&M, and he ripped off a 40-yard run. CF literally crashed. Never got another carry after that.

Eilers was a grade A dbag. Doesn't surprise me at all somebody killed him(including his own step father). No big loss.

Dustin Avey, DB. One of McCarney's better players out of Ames High School.

Had couple of classes with him. A nice and down to earth guy.

He had a pretty good arena career I think.

Someone mentioned Jarvis West. He was fun to watch. Dude got in some trouble a while back. Can't remember what for though.

I loved this guy. Also, I'm not sure if anyone can confirm or deny (this is all super hazy), but I remember hearing a story about him that he participated in some type of open mic student comedy show one year during VEISHEA. Anyway, he's up there doing his bit and one of his punchlines is basically about how people from Iowa have sex with farm animals. So it bombs and then he just ends up sitting on stage in silence until his time is up. I have no idea if it's true or not, but it makes me laugh so much, so I hope it's true. If anyone has more information on this I would LOVE IT (unless you're gonna tell me it's not true, cuz then don't say anything).

I didn't know him during that time but kinda became friends with him later on. He did do stand-up comedy but wasn't very good at it. He had me watch some of his videos and give him some pointers. Not sure if he improved after that.

Who was the kid (linebacker, I think) from the Rhoads era whose Instagram featured him posing with live, wild racoons, squirrels, ducks, etc. that he caught with his hands?

I know there's a former QB that is huge into hunting and I think got into politics not too long ago. I forget the kids name. He saw a little bit of playing time early in his career then transferred to Tiffin University. Jimmy something?

chizik 2008 team was baaaaad. Some WRs that were kind of fun to to watch tho.

Marquis Hamilton and Darius Darks! They were legit not bad.

Sedrick Johnson was a big freshman get on that team, never really worked out.

Yeah, before that he went to Twin River Valley which no longer exists. he's from Gilmore City, I believe.

Was known at ISU for his standing back backflips among other things. He was a freak athlete. I saw him absolutely demolish a homerun against our senior all state pitcher in his freshman season opener.
