I'm guessing we got about six inches of snow here. Don't know if we're done yet. I'm wondering if this will impact attendance at tonight's game?
The moment I get in my seat the seat belt is on and it remains on until we land or I have to use the bathroom, whatever comes firstThis really should be one of the important messages coming out of this. If you are in your seat there is no reason not to have your seatbelt on.
I can guarantee you which comes first for me. I learned my lesson a while back. Thought to myself "Oh, it's only a short hop. I can wait until we get off the plane". Nope. Circled for a while, finally landed, then sat out on the tarmac waiting for a gate. A 1 hr, 15 minute flight ended up being nearly 4 hours from boarding to exiting the plane, and I was in pain by the time we got off that damn flight. The moment I get in my seat the seat belt is on and it remains on until we land or I have to use the bathroom, whatever comes first

One of my best college friends was part of the carillon club (whatever that is called) and sometimes played it. He was looking for music to play Smoke on the Water. No, it wasn't Paul Rhoads.I can almost hear the carillon...
Years ago when I was a student I showed up at the base of the campanille one day about 11:30 so when the carillonneur showed up I was able to go up with him. It was pretty cool to see and even cooler to watch him play. It would be difficult to play since there is a delay between striking the batons on the keyboard and the sound of each bell. Kind of like the dissonance you experience when using a mic with a large venue PA. Your words come back to you on a half second delay and it can really mess with your mind. One of my best college friends was part of the carillon club (whatever that is called) and sometimes played it. I went up with him a couple of times. Also went up 3 times for some tours incident to a seminar I was leading.Years ago when I was a student I showed up at the base of the campanille one day about 11:30 so when the carillonneur showed up I was able to go up with him. I guess I remembered more of a delay than we see here...
I guess that is what three and a half decades will do to your memories.
I used to love taking my lunch up to central campus to listen to the carillon concerts at noon. Some days I really miss being on campus. Don't miss my job - just miss campus.Years ago when I was a student I showed up at the base of the campanille one day about 11:30 so when the carillonneur showed up I was able to go up with him. If they need an extra seat we have one, and NWICY has 2...Timing is everything- buyer is bringing one son and maybe two: ISU fans all the way!
The younger one is 2. I’ll let him know.If they need an extra seat we have one, and NWICY has 2...
Has anyone else noticed the blade refills have disappeared and now they sell you the whole blade. Grrrr. Not cheap either.Cleaning the truck off and a wiper blade came off. I have an extra set but it's getting dark and I don't feel like monkeying with it tonight. It used to be quick but now they're a real pain in the butt.
