I am now curious what a meat raffle is-- is it as innocuous as giving away meat as part of a raffle?

Sometimes part of one, sometimes the entire raffle is just meat.

Vacation in Chicago winds down, and we catch the train back tomorrow. I dare say that kiddo had a tremendous time.

The hobos I've talked to have said box cars are more comfortable than grain cars. If you open the doors, you can get a nice breeze also. They are just not as common as the grain cars.
