Just got to thinking. You have a first grade son, I have a first grade daughter. Make me a good offer and I will keep the RumBrooklyn references out of my father of the bride speech.

Sorry, he long ago decided on a throuple with his best boy friend and they would live at the fire station and their best girl friend would have a baby. That could ride in the fire truck. But not in the front seat because that isn't safe for babies. And I could only visit sometimes, he'd be very busy as a firefighter and not have much time for me.

I'm never quite sure what is acceptable, so I just avoid any age thing, except to remind her that she is older than me and always will be.

I would have thought the 40 comment would have been considered a positive.

WDM, Iowa
Just took the puppers out for the night and the trash and recycle to the curb. It's a blustery evening in WDM. Weather app say max wind gusts at 23 mph. That can't be right. Seems much windier. Eyes were watering.

Another inch or two of the white stuff accumulated overnight here in North Iowa. Beats what they were forecasting last week, so I guess my snowblower maintenance trick worked. Take THAT mother nature :p

Lew drove up to Minneapolis & back yesterday afternoon & evening. Guy up there had all the parts Lew needed for the Taco Car...he can rebuild it. We have the technology!!!

It was much slower coming home than driving up; the snow hit Minneapolis downtown right when he got there. :(

Oh, I think that ship sailed. :(

Side note: He's great under the hood of cars from the 20th century. Modern cars have too much computerization and require constant training to work on them, so shade-tree mechanics (like he calls himself) just can't keep up with it.

He probably could, given the age of the helmet car. Getting parts would be a *****, though - where do you find a helmet that big?

I get that Lew has the technology but will he make the Taco Car "...better than it was before. Better . . . stronger . . . faster."

;)
