I've been thinking the same thing! I saw Kim K announced her second pregnancy today........I don't need my bday to be associated with the darkest day in ISU sports history!!

Thank you everyone and 00, that is a rather curious alt for sure. Decent day so far, pretty sure I'm going to take an opportunity being offered which likely means less time on here and more terror as I attempt to fool people into believing I'm an adult!

So I've told DH to take me out for ice cream tonight.

One does not simply spend less time on CF.

Maybe I can talk you down. I was coaching our U-10 girl's soccer team in a tournament this weekend and we finished up playing the host clubs U-10 team. They had hardly kicked off and the opposing team's coach started working the 14 year old ref. And honestly, he was easily the best ref we had all weekend. Do you really find that necessary to do to a 14 year old kid in a 10 year old girls' game?

For the record, I don't think BodeClone is an internet troll, I think he is an honest to goodness, real-life troll.

My daughter got called for tripping yesterday (a little ticky-tack, but it was a good call). About two minutes later, this girl a head taller than her did a nice little two armed shove to her back that sent her head over heels into the refs legs, almost taking him out. No call. I thought my wife was gonna go all Bobby Bouchet. Meanwhile, I was yelling at her to get back up and get the ball back. I'm not much of a coddler.

I'm quickly learning that there is very little consistency to soccer refs, but it's definitely not a job I'd want to do. There's a lot going on. The only constant I've seen so far is that every parent watches their own kid and points out to the refs when their kid gets fouled.

So do you have the ability to fire or discipline people?

None of this is final yet so nothing for sure. Discipline I believe would be mine, with input from others and probably no firing at least for a while. But would be involved in decisions like that

All managers need spreadsheets. You go CG!

something was mentioned about me being good with data and wanting me to do more of that. That sounds pretty good to me :) Also something about being a natural leader but that's probably just from being a bossy oldest child, ha.

I'm in a wedding that day in Cherokee. I may spend the reception watching CyclonesTV on my phone

I grew up 30 miles from Cherokee. You should just go to a bar and watch the game. And if you want to enjoy yourself, make sure the bar is not in Cherokee.
