Don't bring religion into this, Carvers. You'll have 00 trying to convert me again.

When I was a teenager, some creepy door-to-door types just opened the door and got in our car when I was with some friends at the A & W drive in (cause yea, I am that old). I kicked one of them in the shins and screamed and the guy in the next car drug them out of there. Now I just turn the dog out on them, I'm kind of badass, You would think the crucifix in the front hall would be enough to send them packing.

There was an A&W's drive in at Mason City that we used to eat at all the time! And I'm not that old!

So the gym got a new row machine that I'm intrigued by. Seems like a good every other day substitute for running (since I hate running with the passion of the fire of a thousand suns) and an excellent all around exercise. Anybody use these at all? Would I be right in my assumption? I might give it a try tomorrow night.

Love the rowing machine, it is a full body exercise and when I did crossfit I was so much better at it than running. Heart for your legs/quads and back/core.

I use it as a warmup whenever I worked out at State Gym, which was once in awhile. I do 2000m and then whatever. 30 minutes of it is a lot if you give full effort on it. It's great for legs and makes me work harder than muscles.

This was the 2nd time I ever used a rowing machine, is yours the same one as the one in the picture? Also, you need to adjust the setting on the side if it's the same model.

I used one back in the day at the ref center at ISU, but that was long, long ago and I doubt I was really using it to maximize my workout and how it should be used.

Depends on what your goals are. I don't really know how you can use the machine wrong unless you were using all your arms or something like that. I'd go 30 min at a pace you feel comfortable with and go from there. I asked about the model because the YMCA at home has a blue one that straps both feet in as one and it's a bit different from the one in the picture.

Picture doesn't show up for me.

Looking forward to the BBQ Rendezvous in Marion on Saturday. They better not run out this year.
